Answers to WTFWTK 2.131

Mattel has once again provided answers to your questions.
Thanks again to them for taking the time to answer these!
Check out their answers to your Round 131 questions!

This round of questions were selected by Loo-Kee.
Thanks to that fan for their help!

1. Loo-Kee: Now that we know the 2015 sub has gone through and we can guess many of the characters we will get, will we be seeing Starburst She-Ra, Scratch'N'Sound Catra or Clawdeen in the 2015 sub? I'm hoping for a concrete answer, even if it's "no". Thank you.

2015 will include the following items:
1: Remaining vintage figures and variants from the 1982-1988 MOTU line
2: Original characters from the vintage 1984-1987 POP line
3: a-List New Adventures figures. If unsure of what "A-List means" just look at who was released in 2014. (i.e. Hydron and Flogg). If a figure is more important then Hydron and Flogg likely they are coming in 2015. If not, they may not make the cut.
4: A list media characters. If unsure what "A-List means" just look at who was released in 2014 or revealed already for 2015 (i.e. Scorpia, Lizard Man). If a character is more important than Scorpia or Lizard Man likely they are coming in 2015. If not, they may not make the cut.
5: A few surprises. If unsure what "A few surprises" means, just look at what was released in 2014 or revealed in 2015 such as The Unnamed One, Oo-Lar or Snake Armor He-Man, 200X King Hssss.
This should clarify what to expect in 2015!

2. King Tamusk: In previous "Ask Matty" posts and in the recent Roast Gooble Dinner podcast, Toyguru stated that characters from the new mini-comics, Son of He-Man, and the DC Comics would not appear in 2015 or the remainder of 2014, and that they are for 2016 and beyond. But there is still some concern since like the Unnamed One (attributed to the Son of He-Man story line) and Galactic Protector She-Ra (a new mini-comic variant) WERE included in 2014. Are characters like Dare, Skeleteen, Despara, Robowoman, Hans Hammer Holder, etc., definitely NOT in the 2015 line-up?

5: A few surprises. If unsure what "A few surprises" means, just look at what was released in 2014 or revealed in 2015 such as The Unnamed One, Oo-Lar or Snake Armor He-Man, 200X King Hssss.
This should clarify what to expect in 2015!

3. Lari: With the line ending in 2015 and with the upcoming Dark Horse art book in mind, would Mattel consider to produce an art book specifically for MOTU Classics? This could feature hi-res photos of all the figures and accessories as well as the corresponding bios in chronological order, as well as Scott's existing behind-the-scenes blog entries and reprints of the mini-comics that came with MOTUC figures.

Right now MOTUC will be PART of this book. There are no plans at this time for a dedicated book just for MOTUC.

4. He-Dad: Will a 2015 MOTUC subscriber walk away with a complete vintage MOTU and POP collection or will they have to hunt down chase figures, non-subscription figures and exclusives to complete those collections?

Chase, con and sub items are most definitely part of the full wrap up. We needed to make every SKU count! For example, Loo-kee was a character we really wanted to do and he wound up being released as a 2014 chase fig outside of the sub, but still released with an available slot.
Reviewing 2014 should give you a very good idea of what to expect in 2015 as they are two sides of the same coin.

5. bcrduke: It has become evident that Crita is unlikely for 2015, despite being as A-list as you can get in NA. She has been fan-demanded for years. Scott acknowledged that after Hydron & Flogg, that Crita and Mara were the next most important NA characters to make. Seeing as there is demand, is there any way to include her in 2015?

2015 will include the following items:
1: Remaining vintage figures and variants from the 1982-1988 MOTU line
2: Original characters from the vintage 1984-1987 POP line
