The amusing battle scene from "The Return of Granamyr" in storyboard form is shown here.

Here we present a page from Robert Lamb's storyboard of "The Return of Granamyr." In this episode He-Man and Man-At-Arms just cannot get a decent night's sleep. When the bad guy of the episode Zim sends Braylok demon of the night to attack He-Man and Man-At-Arms, we are treated to a very comical scene that you just don't expect to see with a demon.

Demons tend to be very quick, very smart and very powerful. Unfortunately, even though not played for comic relief, Braylok comes across as a bit laughable. During the battle, he decides to leap at He-Man and Man-At-Arms. What makes this action scene so comical is that the two warriors stand in front of a very long staircase, and Braylok meets the stairs. In the final animated version He-Man's line comes across as slightly out of character. Once Braylok has tumbled down the staircase He-Man yells, "Let's get him!"

Robert Lamb explains, "It was frustrating to have to choreograph as non-violently as possible. (Will I ever live down the infamous "Sword to blanket?") Scripts and boards would be kicked back if perceived as too violent. So there was a lot of tumbling and ducking and indirect action."
