It was not easy being a storyboard artist, especially when the official model sheets came in.

Here's another sketch by the Filmation storyboard staff. Robert Lamb explains: "Often we would have to start boarding a script without character models. So we would design our own new characters. Too often the final character models appeared lame in comparison. Imagine designing a new villain, making him fearsome and powerful. Then the model sheet shows up and he looks like Pee Wee Herman."
