You thought Granamyr looked a little silly with a helmet?

Here we present a few images from Robert Lamb's storyboard of "The Return of Granamyr." You will notice that Granamyr looks slightly different than the final animated version. He states: "I thought the helmet was dorky and my Granamyr better." Granamyr has already had his final design confirmed in "The Dragon's Gift," but Robert continued to draw his original vision: "This was my stubborn refusal to embrace the final model."

Robert Lamb actually put more detail than usual into these pictures. Because they were drawn on a larger panel scale, he was able to shrink them down later to match up with the usual panel size. He used to get in trouble for this: "It would slow me down and risk blowing my deadline. But sometimes I just wanted to make it look better."
