Adam and Cringer discover a young girl named Starchild being fought over by the Cave Dwellers and the Tree People. The Starchild falls into a pit where He-Man and Battle Cat save her from an Ogre. The Starchild is taken back to the Royal Palace where she is introduced to everyone. Starchild explains that her power is for liking others and making others like her. Palos of the Cave Dwellers enters, pleading that his ward be returned to him. Starchild refuses to be taken and runs out of the throne room. He-Man and Teela search the palace, but the Starchild defends herself. Back at the throne room Willan of the Tree People has arrived, claiming the Starchild to be his. Still on the run Starchild spots Teela and Palos and traps them, but He-Man saves them before any real danger. Suddenly, the laser defense system turns against Man-At-Arms and Willan. He-Man finds Starchild and they agree to go back to the throne room Starchild sees Palos and Willan arguing, and she runs away again. Willan and Palos team-up to save Starchild from a monster and she decides to live with both tribes.
