Man-At-Arms tests his latest invention, a remote control that operates, among other things, a rocket, but it malfunctions and the rocket hits the royal chamber. Upset about his failure, Man-At-Arms vows to quit. Skeletor seizes on the opportunity and duplicates his pet Mallabeast into a pure electrical form, which Trap Jaw miniaturizes.

Skeletor teleports the small beast to Man-At-Arms' master computer, which operates all of the electrical devices in the Royal Palace. Once Byte takes hold of the computer, the palace's defense systems begin to attack Adam, Teela, Man-At-Arms, and Cringer. While He-Man fights the computer's attacks, Teela and Battle Cat go to Snake Mountain, where Teela overhears Trap Jaw revealing that Skeletor has implanted the computer with Byte. Meanwhile, Orko uses a shrink ray on Man-At-Arms so that he can go into the computer and find the source of the problem.

Man-At-Arms gets trapped in the memory grid while He-Man goes to the Sorceress so that he too can be shrunk. He-Man frees Man-At-Arms and they ride the negative energy current to Byte's hiding place, where He-Man ties up the computer beast. Our heroes return to normal size and send Byte back to Snake Mountain to torment Skeletor.
