When a Grazzler Bear frightens a young boy Fisto scares the beast off, then tells the boy the story of how he became a friend of He-Man's. A few years back a young girl Rana told her father that their river had stopped flowing. Rana's father Yaro blamed the water loss on the evil Fisto and went to confront him. Fisto captured Yaro, while at the Royal Palace Rana obtained the help of Adam, Cringer, Teela and Orko. Fisto's pet Arachna trapped Teela and Rana in a pool of webbing, giving Adam the chance to transform into He-Man and liberate them.

When He-Man and company investigated Fisto's lair, he swung away, prompting the party to break up. Fisto swung past Orko and Teela on a giant log held up by rope, which landed in the dam, allowing water to flow out of it. The rush of water flooded the forest and sent Orko, Teela, and Rana falling back into a small cavern space where they were imprisoned. Fisto's trap backfired, and he lost control of a pulley device, thus a giant tree trunk fell on his back. Rana squeezed through the gate that trapped her and helped Fisto free himself. He-Man arrived just in time to witness Fisto join the side of good. He-Man arrived at Fisto's lair, but Skeletor had worked a spell on Arachna, increasing the spider in size. Arachna attacked He-Man, but He-Man fell inside the cave, where he freed Yaro and the Elflord, who restored the forest to its original beauty. Just as Fisto finishes telling the story He-Man arrives.
