Synopsis:

Orko tries to "help" his friends with their anniversary gifts for King Randor and Queen Marlena, but when they scold him for botching them all, Orko decides to run away. Cringer follows Orko into the Evergreen Forest, where they encounter the energy-draining beast the Talgoth. After asking Stratos, Fisto, and the king and queen if they have seen Orko, He-Man, Teela, and Man-At-Arms find a good-bye note-spell in Orko's room and decide to follow him into the forest.

Orko consults the Sorceress, who shows him the Royal Palace a year from now and how Orko's disappearance adversely affects all his friends. Relieved that they do care, Orko goes back into the forest and sacrifices himself to the Talgoth so it will stop draining the powers of He-Man, Man-At-Arms, and Teela. Orko's magic proves useless to the Talgoth, allowing He-Man to throw the beast into a chasm in the ground and return to the palace.
