King Randor sends Man-At-Arms and Prince Adam on a diplomatic mission to Phantos. On their way they stop to admire the Great Desert, but Evil-Lyn, Beast Man, and Whiplash capture Man-At-Arms, Orko, and Teela. They return to Snake Mountain, where Evil-Lyn uses the Reducto Ray to shrink the three and suspend them in a cage. He-Man confronts Evil-Lyn, who has created a perilous situation by attaching the cage to a rope holding a boulder suspended over the Reducto Ray. If He-Man touches the cage, the boulder will fall, ensuring the heroes would remain shrunken. He-Man leaves and turns into Adam. To save his friends, Adam shrinks himself so that he will be small enough not to set off the Reducto Ray. Adam unlatches the cage door and uses a rope to slide his friends to the floor safely. The shrunken Adam turns on the ray to enlarge his friends. He sets the ray on himself, and Panthor jumps into the same blast, returning Adam to full size and shrinking Panthor. He-Man shrinks Whiplash and Beast Man and destroys the Reducto Ray, ruining Evil-Lyn's plot.
