Bow is telling a story to a group of children about his exploits of bravery. As Bow tells his story, Vultak flies by. Adora realizes that nearby tracks also indicate a presence of the Horde in the area. Vultak attacks Madame Razz and Broom, but she is able to escape by conjuring a large pie to carry him away.
Shadow Weaver is planning to open the Cave of Winds, which would sweep away the Whispering Woods and leave the rebels exposed, without cover to hide or protect them. As Shadow Weaver tears open the Cave of Winds, She-Ra appears and helps the rebels and villagers seek cover in a nearby building as the Horde Troopers approach.
As the rebels take cover, She-Ra and Swift Wind head toward Bright Moon, hoping that Queen Angella's magic might close the Cave. But the winds are too strong. She-Ra is caught unawares when a group of vines from a floating island grab her and Swift Wind, capturing them. When She-Ra arrives on the island, she is desperate to break free and return to save her friends, but pollen from the flowers on the island is released, causing her and Swift Wind to fall asleep. She-Ra awakens to fend off living trees and mushroom creatures, which try to obstruct her from getting to Bright Moon. Again, She-Ra and Swift Wind are ensnared and pulled back to the island.
The rebels continue to hold firm as the Horde Troopers approach, but their defenses are weakened, and Shadow Weaver and the Troopers are able to break down one wall of the building. She-Ra has begun to weep in despair, realizing that she will not be able to help her friends. The leader of the tree creatures feels sympathy for her, and tells her that the glide-trees are dying, and that in their fear that the island might soon fall they wanted to use Swift Wind to flee to another Sky Land. She-Ra realizes that she can help the plant creatures and her friends at the same time. She pulls a rope attached to the present Sky Land to bring it closer to the new Sky Land. The tree creatures disembark and are very grateful to She-Ra. In order to help her friends, though, she needs the old Sky Land. She uses Sky Land to plug the hole that Shadow Weaver blasted in the Cave of Winds, ending the threat. Beaten, Shadow Weaver and the Horde Troopers escape, while She-Ra and Kowl reflect on friendship.
