Both the Masters and the Evil Warriors are fighting to retrieve the Emerald of Orkas Island. Man-E-Faces runs to aid his friends in his monster guise, but is confronted by Beast Man, who uses his ability to control beasts to take control of his mind. He-Man appears and soon defeats all of the villains, breaking the mind control over Man-E-Faces. He-Man reveals that he managed to retrieve the Emerald of Orkas Island.

At Snake Mountain, feeling that his warriors will never eliminate He-Man Skeletor decides that he needs bounty hunters to carry out the task successfully. Whiplash remarks that he knows two bounty hunters, believing that either one could best He-Man in battle. A short while later Whiplash escorts the two bounty hunters Tuvar and Baddhra towards the throne room where Skeletor awaits. Tuvar and Baddhra hate one another and trade insults until Whiplash presents them to Skeletor. Impressed by both bounty hunters Skeletor decides that working together they will destroy He-Man. Emerging from the throne room, and in fear of losing their jobs, the Evil Warriors reprimand Whiplash, then agree on a plan whereby they can take credit for He-Man's defeat.

At the Royal Palace the Masters meet to discuss the problem of a monster attacking tradesmen in the Tar Swamp. Man-At-Arms explains that the Masters will take the Emerald of Orkas Island to the Sands of Fire and destroy it, while He-Man and Man-E-Faces will journey to the Tar Swamp. Making their way through the Tar Swamp He-Man and Man-E-Faces decide to split up. As He-Man walks through the dense forestry by himself he has no idea that Tuvar watches his every move.

Meanwhile Man-E-Faces is caught unaware is knocked to the floor by Baddhra. He-Man appears and kicks the bounty hunter far away. He-Man and Man-E-Faces are unaware that a Doomseeker spies on the two of them. Man-E-Faces saves He-Man from Tuvar. He-Man suggests that the two of them may be able to track the bounty hunters if Man-E-Faces were to switch to his monster guise. Man-E-Faces replies that he no longer plays the role of the monster. Upon hearing a roar, He-Man and Man-E-Faces split up to track down the bounty hunters. Man-E-Faces trips a device that causes a large battering ram to knock him into the Tar Swamp, where Swamp Hoppers attack him.

Meanwhile Baddhra tricks He-Man into falling into some vines that swiftly imprison him. Seeing He-Man imprisoned the Evil Warriors decide to make their move. As Baddhra attempts to finish He-Man Tuvar appears and the two bounty hunters begin to fight. Still in the Tar Swamp Man-E-Faces finally transforms into his monster guise. Tuvar and Baddhra continue to fight when Man-E-Faces appears and effortlessly defeats the pair. Beast Man gains control over Man-E-Faces once again, while Trapjaw and Tri-Klops defeat the weakened Tuvar and Baddhra. As Man-E-Faces struggles to stop Beast Man's control, He-Man tells Man-E-Faces that the monster guise is part of who he is and that Beast Man cannot control it. Beast Man commands Man-E-Faces to destroy He-Man. Man-E-Faces approaches a bound He-Man and begins clawing away at him. When Beast Man and the other Evil Warriors look they are surprised to see no sign of He-Man. Man-E-Faces reveals that he was acting and that he will no longer be taking "direction" from Beast Man. At that moment He-Man uses the battering ram to knock the villains into the Tar Swamp.

At Snake Mountain the Evil Warriors tell Skeletor how Tuvar and Baddhra fought each other, so Skeletor magically bonds the pair into one single being; Two Bad.
