Lord Dactys brings King Randor the shed skin of King Hiss that was found in Spelea, proving to the Masters that he is still alive. Prince Adam goes to the Sorceress for help, but she is still weak. She does however manage to give him two fragments of information: the Serpent's Ring and the Sea of Rakash. King Hiss finds out about the Serpent's Ring from the Tablet of the Elders and takes his Snake Men into the Sea of Rakash to find it.
The Masters use their new diving gear, spawned from Snake Men skin, to follow the Snake Men. The Snake Men get away with the Serpent's Ring. In the meantime, Orko interrogates General Rattlor with a giant mongoose, which gets him to reveal King Hiss's plan and how to break the spell the Serpent's Ring casts. King Hiss uses the Serpent's Ring on the people of Felis Folia and turns them into Snake Men.
Chief Carnivus and his people mindlessly attack the Masters under King Hiss's command. Man-At-Arms, Mekaneck and Teela are then turned into Snake Men too. They attack He-Man and Roboto, which leads to their capture. King Hiss ascends the Ophidian Spire so that can cast the Serpent Ring's spell over all of Eternia. Roboto escapes his bonds and gives He-Man a chance to get the Sword of Power back. Orko shows up and silences King Hiss so that he cannot cast the spell.
Orko then reveals to He-Man that nothing on Eternia can destroy the Serpent's Ring, so He-Man throws the Serpent's Ring and the Ophidian Spire into the sun to destroy them. The spell loses its effect, and the Snake Men get escape.
