"Once again my daughter-"

Queen Angella's great at delivering speeches. But the same one twice?

She-Ra's season two began to show signs of cost cutting. While some episodes have great animation and directing, others began reusing existing animation to the point of the story being duplicated. The comparison here is between an action scene in "Return Of The General," and the same scene reused in "Portrait of Doom." While it was nice to see Queen Angella and her daughter launching themselves into battle, seeing the exact same scene twice takes away the value of the original. What is also interesting to note is that these two very similar scenes demonstrated the only times Glimmer displayed the ability to fly. Something that could have got her out of a lot of dangerous situations in the past!

The dialogue runs very, very close between the two. They are almost identical save the restructuring of the first sentence.

P67 - Return Of The General
Queen Angella: "Once again my daughter we must fight for the freedom of our home. Are you ready?"
Glimmer: "Ready, mother."
Queen Angella: "Then, for Bright Moon!"
Glimmer: "For Bright Moon!"

PP88 - Portrait of Doom
Queen Angella: "Once again we must fight for the freedom of our home. Are you ready my daughter?"
Glimmer: "Ready, mother."
Queen Angella: "Then, for Bright Moon!"
Glimmer: "For Bright Moon!"

Not only was the actual dialogue identical, the animated scenes were carried out the same.
