Comet Creatures That Transform!

Description  The Meteorbs represented Mattel's attempt to get in on the transforming toy craze (Transformers, Go-Bots, etc) which took the form of transforming rocks into animals.  And just like their illustrious Transforming predecessors, Meteorbs were also shamelessly ripped off of the Japanese.  This time, it was a toyline by Bandai called Tamagoras. 

The Heroic Meteorbs consisted of Tuskor, Cometroid, Astrolion, Comet Cat & Ty-Grrr (pictured here) while the Evil Meteorbs had on their roster:  Orbear, Rhinorb,Crocobite, Dinosorb and Gore-illa. 

Features  Each Meteorb possessed the ability to transform from a smooth egglike shape into some form of animal or robot.  The gimmick was fairly simple and didn't require much effort to transform.
