Craven is Dare's pet bird, who becomes Battle Bird (a huge armored fighting bird, that is large enough to ride upon), the loyal companion of He-Ro (II).

Craven is a blustering bird, wholikes to stir up trouble. When it comes to battle, Craven talks a good fight, but tends to trip over his own wings when it's time to put up or shut up. Only, when Craven is transformed into Battle Bird, he is a force to be reckoned with.

Trivia:

- Craven was featured in the Filmation "He-Ro, Son Of He-Man Bible", but did not become part of Filmation's canon. He remained a Concept Character, for many years.

- Craven appears in the 2008 Masters Of The Universe Classics Mini-Comics.
