Evil Horde

The Evil Horde are the primary antagonists of the She-Ra television series. However, most of the male characters appear in the He-Man toy line, including the Marvel comics, UK comics and mini-comics from 1986 onwards.


Hordak is the leader of the Evil Horde, an army of savage warriors, most of whom wear a red bat symbol on their chests to convey their allegiance. Hordak is Skeletor's old mentor. 

Shadow Weaver

Shadow Weaver was a practicing apprentice sorceress originally fromthe Kingdom of Mystacor. Her real name is unknown although she wasknown as Light Spinner. She, along with a rival sorceress namedCastaspella, were being trained by a great Etherian sorcerer namedNorwyn. When Hordak arrived on Etheria, he promised Shadow Weaver vastpower in exchange for information, she agreed. Only a second-ratesorceress herself, her powers were greatly increased through a magicalgem which was responsible for a devastating unforeseen physicaltransformation. While absorbing the power of the Horde's "dark gem",Norwyn discovered her and realized her great betrayal. He thendestroyed the gem, severing her link with the gem but not before shehad taken only a third of its power, inducing an irreversible change inher physically. She betrayed Norwyn and Castaspella andjoined The Horde.


In the animated series, Catra is the Force-Captain of Hordak's Evil Horde, a position previously held by Adora, before she defected. Catra displays minor sorcery abilities. She possesses a magical mask, which when slid over her face gives the ability to transform into a purple panther. She has also shown telepathiccontrol over all cats. The mask once belonged to the Queen of a race ofcat people called the Magicats and has many other powers known only tothe Queen herself and her advisor, Minister Cloudfoot. In the toyline,she is the principal villain.


A member of the Evil Horde,Grizzlor is a hairy man-beast creature from the wild, covered in thickbrown fur and sharp claws, who attacks his opponents with the power ofbrute strength. Most story media have portrayed him as a mindless brutewith little in the way of intelligence. > The Lester-onian school ofthought has classified him incorrectly as Beast-man resulting in muchcontroversy.


A member of the Evil Horde, Leech is an amphibian-likecreature, of a large and bulky build with green skin and suction padson his hands, feet and mouth. It is these suction pads that provide himwith his main power: to suck and drain the life-force from hisopponent, rendering them helpless against him.


Mantenna is a member of the Evil Horde. He is a creature with four legs and pop-out antenna eyes. He can fireenergy beams of different varieties from his eyes, such as stun beams,gravity distortion beams, and freeze rays. Mantenna is a nervous stuttering imbecile mainly used for comic relief, with a running gag that Hordakfrequently sends him down a trap door in front of his throne for anynumber of reasons. Although, once or twice Mantenna actually turns thetables on Hordak and sends him plummeting down his own trap.


Scorpia is a member of the Horde, who lives in the Crimson Waste. AtCrimson Waste she owns slaves, which suggest that she is a powerfulfigure on Etheria.At Crimson Waste, Scorpia's home is shaped like a huge scorpion. Withinthe home can be seen a throne, suggesting Scorpia has some kind of ruleover a region of Etheria. Scorpia and Catra possess a fierce rivalrybetween them, only working together as a last resort. She possessesclaw-like pincers instead of hands and a powerful tail which she canemploy to capture members of the Rebellion. Her tail is at times adisadvantage to her as She-Rauses it several times to hurl her out of the way. She is not the mostintelligent member of the Horde and is easily fooled, which isevidenced on several occasions, most notably when she allows Bow to enter the secret factory of the Horde believing him to be a handsome inspector.


Modulok is a multi-bodied monster who can reform himself into thousands of different shapes to confuse his enemies. He is a member of the Evil Horde,though in some cartoon appearances is seen to work for himself. He isalso known for creating Multi-Bot. He is one of the few Horde figuresto not wear a Horde bat emblem.


Octavia is an octopus woman from Octopus Cove. She is the Horde Sea Commander in The Sea of Sigh, a small Etherianocean. When she first confronts She-Ra, Octavia easily captures She-Rain her tentacles. She also demonstrates, with ease that she can capturea talented fighter like Sea Hawk,when captured by Octavia, Sea Hawk appears to be drained of energy,suggesting that Octavia has abilities similar to Leech, and she candrain energy from her opponents.


Entrapta is the Evil Horde'svillainous technician. She appears to be a close sidekick of Catra.Entrapta is a skilled inventor, and is credited with designing advancedequipment for The Horde to employ in their battle against The GreatRebellion. Her speciality is devising different traps for members ofThe Rebellion. One invention created by Entrapta is the Trapper Tank.

She has two long braids of hair which she can use to entangle heropponents; apparently she has the power to control the movement of herhair at will.

A member of the Evil Horde,Multi-Bot is a robot composed of multiple body parts which he canreform at will into thousands of different shapes. He is a robotequivalent of the character Modulok whose action figure also consistedof numerous different body parts which could be locked together in manydifferent ways. He was marketed as the 'evil robot of a thousandbodies'.


Imp is a shapeshifting spy who helps out Hordak. He points out to Hordak when other members of the Evil Hordefail in their different missions, and encourages Hordak to vent hisanger on them. Because of this nature Imp is hated by most othermembers of The Horde. It seems that without Hordak, Imp has littleinfluences within The Horde, being more like a lapdog. Imp is actuallyrather distinctive amongst the Horde, as he is one of their few memberswith the ability to fly. This is odd given the fact that it is statednumerous times in the series that Horde Prime has a hatred of flyingcreatures.


Dragstor is a cyborg who is part man, part vehicle. He has a tyredwheel built into his chest which he uses to cruise along the ground atsuper-speed.
