Geldor – Evil Barbarian Obsessed With ImmortalityReal Name: Geldor IIIThe ruler of Foodar in the Dark Hemisphere, Geldor became obsessed with finding a way to extend his life after his wife was killed by a dragon attack. He began laying siege to other kingdoms in his ongoing search. One such attack led Geldor to kidnap Torgul, Grand Vizier of Vaderia in order to locate the mythical Secret Liquid of Life. Vaderia's heroic Prince Dakon sought the help of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Together, they confronted Geldor in a stronghold in Ogre Mountain. During the battle, the liquid was spilled and a great Life Tree rose up, apparently swallowing Geldor in the process. Months later, Geldor returned, merged with the magic of the tree and now more powerful than ever. Geldor brings terror to all who get in the way of his quest for eternal life!
Geldor is taken from one of the most widely distributed mini-comic of the original line: "He-Man vs. Geldor for the Secret Liquid of Life". This character, desired for so long by the kids that we were, finally arrives in the form of a vintage style action-figure, equipped with many accessories! Geldor was created in the style of the figurines of the first three waves to represent it as if it had been produced between 1982 and 1984. To achieve this, Geldor is equipped with armor, a belt and removable leggings, his famous weapon, the ax on the cover of the comic book, and a classic shield of the same color. The sculpt of his head was realized by recreating the style of the beginnings of the range, with more matt finishes. And like most figurines of this period, Geldor also incorporates the famous "Power-Punch" mechanism.
The illustration of the cardback reproduces the style of design as seen on the first packagings, and the blister has the specific form of the European blister bubbles. As always, no detail is the result of chance! Like Goat-Man previously, Geldor is a figurine that will fill the fans of the first hour, and comes perfectly fill this void that Mattel has failed to fill in our vintage collections. The confrontation for the Elixir of Life will finally take place!
