Does anyone, besides me, hope to see Frank Langella as Skeletor, and Dolph Lundgren as He-man the in MotUC line? I hate that movie, but for some reason I'd love to have toys from it. Even less likely, but no less awesome would be toys of Evil-lyn, Sorceress, Man-at-arms, Teela, etc. (sorry no Blade, Karg or Gwildor love from me. None for Lubic either. Blech!)
Would these even be possible, I mean does Mattel have the rights to make toys based on those designs?
I wouldn't be opposed to it however unlike you I would love a Blade and Saurod fig.

I think they would be great figures.No matter how one feels about the movie,the look of the charachters I think were awsome,except Skeletor should not have had eye balls.They could of put some black mesh over it to try and hide them.I may be in the minority,but I still love that movie.I think they could do the designs,but not the likeness of real people,unless they paid for the rights to use them.Quote:

I don't see it coming out. I believe they have the rights but I think they intend to generally copy the original toy line as much as possible.

I'd buy the movie He-Man and Skeletor, even the Sorceress. Heck I would pick up Teela, Evil-Lyn, Man at Arms, Gwildor and even the design for She-Ra who never actually appeared. :hmlol:

I'd take the wait and see approach. I really didn't like the movie, however, I am a completist so I'd probably buy them. Gwildor is at the top of my list of least favorite original figures along with Orko, and Snout Spout (mini statue HUGE improvement).
I would, but not if it meant having to give up other figure slots per month.
I would prefer something along the likes of a movie-themed boxed set. Depending on how much interest there was it could be a two pack or perhaps something grander which could include several movie-themed characters.
i'd really like to see a langella figure. Not so keen on Lundgren.

The movie characters are something that I've always had in the back of my mind as a perfect fit for this line. I'd buy them all. True, I think the movie is a mess but I'd jump at the chance to grab any and all movie figures. I'm buying everything MOTUC anyway. Someone mentioned the god Skeletor, I hadn't thought of that but that would be totally awesome. How about a Julie? I had a big 12 year old crush on her back in the day.

Im hoping for the movie characters to be made. They were great. I loved the movie and the characters are good. For those that dont lime the movie try the comic that came out i guess its the adaptation. i found it a few years ago on the web. The site just lost my mind. But I got it cheap and its abit more pg-13 if I remember right.
But a definite yes to the figures.
I'd love to see some 1987 MOTU movie figures made (esp. he man and skelly!)
