Skeletor on the cover of Toyfare

I don't think this is a problem since it isn't a scan and is a stock photo for venders selling the magazine... Just in case, I'm only linking to the Midtown Comics site with the picture up.

That is very awesome indeed!

Its not illegal or anything, most comic book shops and vendors will receive the image (if they have not already) as part of their solicitation for the product

I am half surprised it was not in an earlier issues of Previews

He looks wicked awesome.

So much for him not looking evil because he would be based on the card back art. His eyes look menacing and it looks like there's a good amount of detail on his armor.

My excitement for this line just went up another notch.

He's so....pretty! I want him NOW!

A very classic feel to him - just like the old toy and cardback.

Wow! This line has such a nostalgic feel to it. I know that is what Mattel is going for, and they hit the nail on the head. He looks great!

He does look nice. The armor is very well done. I prefer the 200x head, but there looks to be a good amount of paint detail in the skull on this one. I'm slowly coming around to liking the motuc line a bit and this figure definitely helps.

Ironic, I just received my copy of TF #133 today and was bummed because it takes another month until my importer gets #134. And now, we at least get a "glimpse" at him on the cover! Whoo!

I haven't dug out my original collection in ages. But I really wonder if the first 12 or so characters we get are the ones that will feature the most reusable parts? That way even if the sales are borderline, we will still get more figures, because figure X uses all these parts, and just needs a new head for example. I almost hope thats the case with the initial releases. Then the profit margin for Mattel is that much greater, and will keep the line going, so that we can get all those unique figures down the road.

WOW! Just WOW!! He looks awesome! To me, I see a little bit of Filmation influence in the design. Could be my imagination though. :sklol:

When does this issue go on sale again? It’s supposed to have an "update" on the movie, too.

Oh, and for the record, Skeletor looks splendid! And I agree, his eyes do look eerie.

Yeeessss! That's Skeletor how he should look like. I absolutely love the design, the coherent style and the coloring of the MOTUC line. That's pure classic MOTU spirit. I know what will be on my wish list for Christmas this year.
