Marvel characters never going to happen. I believe Hasbro owns the rights for Marvel toys.
Hasbro only recently obtained the marvel license. The first umpteen waves of marvel legends were Toy Biz, and Mattel DID have the marvel license in the 80s ala Secret Wars. It would not be so far fetched that the license could go to Mattel at some point in the future, but I would say more likely the license would go to Disney, given the relationship with Marvel, but I wouldn't say "never" to the proposition of Mattel getting back in the circle.Quote:

On the back of the recent rumors that talks were underway between Hasbro and Disney about a possible Disney buyout of Hasbro, the Providence Journal reports a spike in Hasbro share prices. More importantly, there is also the closest we are likely to get to an official comment on matters right now:
