There is no way he can have a standard buck. He must have one that caters to multiple legs and a slimmer build. Heck, they could probably reuse some of him for both Multibot and Mantenna. Just some thoughts.

I'd like to see Modulok on the starndard buck as well. I don't know if they can actually do that given the multiple parts but if its possible the 4H can do it. I prefered the Modulok as he appears in the above comic cover or as we saw him in the cartoon. I wasn't a big fan of the toy either and would like to see him made as close to the standard buck figure as possible. However, that may not be possible. I wonder if he'll be one of those $30 dollar figures given the extra parts?
I'd like this one as well and think the standard buck would work fine. The standard male trunk with removable limbs like Trap-Jaw/Kronis. Then you could build arm/leg socket removable joints that could have attachment pegs for extra arms and legs, so I could see it being very doable.
I'm a traditionalist and I have to say... Custom buck or nothing.
I really don't want to see any lesser version of the character, and would rather not have him if that is the only option.
No Filmation-style Modulok please!
Modulok isn't a character that I think about too much, but for the sake of variety and to be in-line with the original mission statement for MOTUC, I think they should do an update of the vintage toy. I'm waiting for the 4H design to win me over so that I'm more interested in the character.
I feel the standard buck would make him look too big / muscular and it really wouldn't look like Modulok at all. However, that being said, I would take a standard buck version over no Modulok at all.
To see both get the thumbs up would be an ace move by SDCC.
I like both characters but Multi-Bot is an all time fav as you can see with my avatar.
I would hope to see Multi-Bot be made similar to cartoon version same colours aswell. Same for Modulok but for him give him two heads but keep him like the cartoon image.
:mmlol:
Suppose they get around to making 200X Prince Adam, somewhat similar to how the vintage Adam in MOTUC has a typical buck body, with a new thin plastic vest over his chest. They could then reuse the slimmer new 200X Adam buck chest piece for Modulok.
The problem with making him like this, though, is whether or not he'll even be able to have exchangable parts because they may be too brittle at the joints for repeated use on a smaller buck.
Make Modulok a SDCC exclusive, just like Plastic Man. We all know he'll have to be a completely new sculpt, due to all the collect and connect style pieces. If the Horsemen keep the size down, maybe by using a DCUC buck for the base, the figure cost can stay around $25. And, of course, for attendees, there can be exclusive pieces that won't come with the MattyCollector.com version.
I love the idea...but not the exclusive piece idea. :hmlol:
What would be good for the SDCC version would be a paint variation, like the green arms and legs Modulok from TopToys!

I'm sure people would want to army build Modulok or creat a giant monster.

I did both, but can't find the pictures at the moment! :hmlol:
haha... i was so bad with my toys.. i think there were parts of modulok all over my house back in the day.
I think Modulok or Multibot might be good for a $25 dollar SDCC figure.
I think Sy-Klone should pull apart at the waist like Plastic Man, and have a cool looking funnel cloud stand/base. I wasn't really thrilled that his upper torso was what would spin around especially since he was always depicted as flying around by spinning the lower half of his body in mini comics and books.
And I can totally see Modulok and Multibot being done in a similar style as Plastic Man and his suitcase. Bring all three on!
I also think, that Modulok has to be more skinnier than the normal MOTUC-character.
With too much muscles, with all his arms and legs, he would look too big imo.
Ugh. PLEASE no. I realize that cartoon fans are all ga-ga about this version, but honestly, if you take away Modulok (or Multi-Bot's) multible limbs and heads, and the ability to customize him then they're just not the same characters. Though I could see why they would do it to save money, just doing that single boring humanoid form would suck. :sksad:
Just a thought, but do the legs in the Norem picture look a lot like Mantenna's to anyone else...?
I'd prefer the cardback version--two heads, centauric with 6 legs. Heck, I'm sure Mattel could make both Modulok's, offering one as a refresh down the line. There's a third with the little mini-comic version.
I really like the Filmation look Modulok so I would really like it if he could look like that.
Voice for Filmation/Norem Modulok!
He's so Bad@ss !!!
New Poll is up.
It's MULTIPLE CHOICE.
Which Modulok do you want to see in Classics?

I'm not a fan because it is the cartoon version, I really like Earl Norem's take on it and think the colors look WAY better than the toy. I really dont think we'll get the original toy version in this line with as much tooling as it would take, but if so, great....Filmation colors though
