I'll take a Lodar, thank you!
I'll take a Lodar, thank you!
I love Mini Comic Villians, and would love to see Lodar.
There could be a great group of stand alone villians in this line
As for the original story - yeah, it was just a coincedence that the mini-comic writer was using the name Zodac for a character. Some quick alterations where made when it turned out there was already a Zodac on the cards, turning Zodac to Lodar (you can even see the alterations - check out the L's and R's whenever Lodar's name appears).
Looks cool! Add him to the list!
I wouldn't mind a Lodar action figure.
I'd buy Lodar in a hot second.
I had almost forgotten about Lodar!
I loved this character as a kid. I always wanted him just like I did Geldor.
I want Garn, too!
The native-american indian looking guy with the mohawk. The guy that was fighting He-Man. He was cool looking too.
These figures would've been much better than Blast-Attak. No doubt.
These figures need to be done.
Matty, I hope you're seeing these two threads.
Some old school love going on here.
I am curious as to how many MOTU fans would love to see a Lodar figure produced in the MOTUC line. Lodar is the awesome character from the mini-comic Slave City. He really gave He-Man a run for his money when they battled. He looks menacing and very intimidating. I think he would be more than an excellent addition to our collections. Mattel can produce this figure since they are have access to the mini-comics. I really hope we see this character given new life in the form of an action figure. Anybody we agrees with me please post so that Mattel may see the fans support for this awesome character.
Welcome to the boards. :)
I merged this thread with one of the existing Lodar threads. Please use the search feature in the future. Thanks!
Lodar would be an excellent addition to the MOTUC cast. And easy for Mattel to make also!
We need Garn and Princess Rana from that mini comic also.
I want Lodar, but I want GELDOR much, much more! http://www.planeteternia.de/grafiken/main/geldor.gif
Lodar would be a sweet addition to the line.
Geldor, Lodar & Kobolds. These will be great figures. great villains. really want Geldor. Kobolds would be a great army builder.
I thought I would bump this thread thanks to the discussion about Lodar in Mike Bock's mini comic thread
Just a piece of info that I am sure a few of you heard on an earlier Roast Gooble Dinner podcast, Lodar was initially supposed to be Zodac. Mattel gave them the info that the main bad guy for the mini comic was to be a new character Zodac but failed to give a description.
The artists drew Lodar and named him Zodac. By the time the problem was noticed it was almost too late to fix it. They had to work some magic to make the 'Z' look like an 'L' and the 'C' look like an 'R' and thats how Lodar was born :tjlol:
The info may not be word for word exact but you get the gyst. I think it was the Episode 008/009 interview with Lee Nordling
As for getting a figure for Lodar? Bring it on
Lodar would be an awesome addition to MOTUC!!
Yes! Bring on Lodar! Mini-comic characters are a MUST for the MOTUC....
YES ! I want a Lodar action figure ! He looks awesome ! I like his colours, I like his weapon, I like the comic he's in too.
And the good news is Lodar has been trademarked. So I hope we'll get him soon !
How about a Lodar deluxe figure. He can come with some gigantic chains and a large net to capture He-man and Battle Cat. Then we can get some Kobolds as an army builder 2-pack. Slave City and Masks of Power were my favorite mini comics as a kid.
I would love a figure of Lodar.
Now that I see him now, He reminds me of Noob Saibot from Mortal Kombat.
I would definitely like a Lodar figure. I remember that mini-comic and it was definitely a favorite. I also would like to see an army-builder of Lodar's minions! Those were creepy cool looking minions!!
I would sell my soul for a Lodar.
I really feel like Lodar is on the way. He very much plays into that "all in" philosophy that MOTUC tries to maintain. He wouldn't require a great deal of new tooling and would represent a corner of established MOTU history that has yet to be immortalized in plastic.
He's such a cool looking design that I'd honestly be surprised if we saw him later rather than sooner.
