Also was'nt there a concept for an Evil-Seed figure in the vintage line some where?
MYP version without a doubt.
I just watched the Filmation episode with Evilseed so now just even more in favor of the MYP version! I think Kevenn made a good point that no flocking would be needed from Evilseed since he's more "underground" as the name implies compared to Moss-Man.
I prefer Filmation's style, but maybe he wouldn't match in MotUC
When I saw Count Marzo, I knew Evilseed is now a possibility. It's obvious the MYP version will get made, but I was thinking about what would make him stick out. He would seem kind of boring. What could be done to jazz him up?
I actually prefer the Filmation version, if only because it's one of my favorite episodes of all time.
Ironically it was Moss Man's appearance in "Orko's Garden" that got me to like him a lot more. :holol:
Evil Seed is definitely one villain that requires 2 heads: MYP and a FILMation-ish head. I'd much prefer to display the later.
Evil Seed would be badass. Sooner rather than later please!

As far as I know, the only version they have the legal rights to is the 200X version, which would be awesome!
Didn't the character start on the Filmation show? That version of him was really silly, although the episode was one of the best of the series.
Anyway, YES on EvilSeed!!! WootWoot!!!
I can't wait for Evilseed, personally. I wish we could at least get an alternate Filmation head, but I will be just as excited to see the 4HM's take on the evil master of weeds. With any luck, we'll get him within a year or so.
I have been dying for a 200x Evilseed since like forever! I can't wait till we get official word on him. I like the Filmation version too, but he's not an option yet, and I prefer his 200x look anyway. :)
my take on him, needs some work on neck area and a better paint finish.

Here I was thinking I was one of the few people around here that like this Character 200X style better BTW the idea to make a filmation head sounds interesting..
...Hey, just wondered what folks thought the possibilities were for the eventual (and hopefully SOON!) Evilseed figure design? Obviously, it's going to be based on the MYP show design (THANK GOODNESS!!):sklol:, but how should Mattel approach making him from a design/parts reuse standpoint? It's a given that the head & collar-piece, along with some vine add-ons, would be new sculpts, but what else could they use? I'm thinking Whiplash forearms for sure...
I think, he will get following things:
Skeletor body
New head, of course
New big chest/collar piece glued on the torso
Maybe Whiplash`s forearms...
Finished...
That looks ok. I would be happy with that design.
That looks awesome. I wonder if they could do a second head that looks more like the filmation evil seed?
id be down for that figure for sure
I wouldn't be surprised to see Whiplash's forearms being reused for Evilseed. That being said, I never was a fan of the MYP design, so I hope it's gonna get tweaked a bit for the figure.
Yeah MYP all the way please, I really wouldn't be fussed about the Filmation one even if they did have the rights to him.
He won't have a Filmation head.
Which is just as well, Filmation Evilseed didn't look very cool.
The reason that episode is so beloved is because of the awesome He-Man/Skeletor interaction, not because of Evilseed (who actually doesn't do much).
Look at the MYP Evilseed. Then look at the MOTUC King HIsss. Evilseed is so going to use HIss's Buck. And It'll look great.
I'm very excited about this. I hadnt even realized at first why HISSS's body looked so familiar, it had been awhile since I had watchd the MYP 200x series.
I know we'll get the 2002 version, but the original Filmation was so much more interesting. His way of talking, his motivations, his look were unusual. THe MYP version seemed just another amped up villain with a standard motivation: get power by getting Grayskull.
I want Evilseed, but I think they will need to do some major tweaking to make him a visually appelaing figure based on the 2002 version. True, the first one evoked an artichoke, but the 2002 version struck me as an animated celery stalk.
