That's the idea - there'd be several display options - enough to make her significantly different from the half-arsed BGEL

I would gladly buy this version!
It's what's underneath of the Fur Cape that really counts...it's the 200X leotard with skirt underneath!:skwink: (Check out the third difference from Battleground Evil-Lyn). The snow cape aspect serves as a vehicle for a non-Teela torso, but is also an aspect that people will instantly recognize from the 200X cartoons. If she's packaged with the Snow Cloak and alternate Hooded Cloak head on, this Evil-Lyn variant would look different enough from Battleground Evil-Lyn for MOC collectors to snatch her up.
As for other characters, this is a non-sub variant like Bubble Power She-Ra, that would most likely come later on down the line and wouldn't interfere with any other characters. It'll probably be at least 2013 or longer before we see this figure. We have all the time in the world.:skgrin:Quote:
Other figures need to get made, fellas. Can't we just move on and start obsessing about Mara, the Sorceress, or some other female?
Right now it's good that the 200X Evil-Lyn fans focus on what they could possibly be getting in the future with enough support behind it HERE, instead of fighting with other fans about what they aren't getting now, in other threads.
I don't care what they call her as long as I get an Evil Lyn that does not steal Teela's clothes!
absolutely not, enough variants of evillyn, I would rater see a filmation clawful, tung lashor, or multibot before i ever see the likes of this character coming out. Just create your own cloak and throw it out on battleground evillyn, don't waste a slot on this!
YES! now this is the figure i want
Yes I'll take this Lyn. What if they can't do her winter cloak, what can we ask for instead? Maybe they can remove the skull from her helmet. Skull knee pads for her boot?
In a perfect world for me they would release 200x Evil-Lyn and 200x young Evil-Lyn in a 2 pack.
As a varient slot you are taking up a slot. I would rather see filmation clawful, tung lashor, or multibot then getting a varient we just got (battleground Evillyn) with a cloak on. Just get someone to make the clak for you guys. There are better ways to utilize the varient slots.
Maybe you haven't heard, but She-Ra 2.0 is taking up no slot. She isn't in the subscription, so fans will have to fight the WSOD to get her. We have three regular figures in November 2011 instead of the usual two.
Regular Subscription Figure: Snout Spout
Quarterly Subscription Figure: Battleground Evil-Lyn
Large Scale Beast Subscription Figure: Swift Wind
Mattycollector.com Only: Bubble Power She-Ra
I'm not arguing with you, just informing you that there is a She-Ra figure coming out in November that has no slot attributed to her. This proposed Evil-Lyn figure follows the same principal.
Counter-proposal, based on these

Yeah, there's some compromise there, but it's as good as I could see us getting!
To help others visualize, I did a mock up of what I believe would be Mattel's most likely response to your request in late 2012:

I'm joking btw.
Reading must be difficult these days...
The cloak is just an accessory, a vehicle to get us the Evil-Lyn variant we have been asking for in the first place.
But since it seems to be too distracting, letīs get rid of the cape and go with the alternate young Evil-Lyn head and dress, and make 2 additional snap on pieces for the cowl and the loincloth, as Reboot suggested. Fisto can do it, so can Evil-Lyn, I guess.
I support 100% for this variant MGM ! Sure..... Evil-Lyn deserves her 200X version on female buck 2.0 !!
Her head should sculpted just like in the 200X cartoon !
Much younger (mid 25's aged) look with her acurate tiara (without the skull logo like the original)! This will refresh her character in great way !!
But since we've got this "BG" version, I have a feeling that we will get a filmation accurate Evil-Lyn first !! I firmly believe we'll see both of these Evil-Lyn variants in the upcoming years. lets not loose any hope !!!!!!
Works for me. I'd get her. How about calling her Arctic Evil-Lyn?
I like it. That cloak is fierce.
But one thing....what horrors will it do to the figure's articulation? :hmconf:
Actually if the choice was presented to me for a 200x Evil Lyn vs Ram Man or 200x Evil Lyn vs any other character, I'd take 200x Evil Lyn.
The Sorceress is coming and no other female characters are as important as Evil Lyn after Sorceress, She-Ra and Teela.
I hate Filmation Clawful's design, and I don't need a Multibot as badly as I need a proper Evil Lyn figure that's not a repaint.
@ MegaGearMax
She needs to come with the Shard Of Darkness instead of that stupid knife again.
While I am basically happy enough with bg lyn, I would buy this variant in a heartbeat.
I think the Winter Weather Evil Lyn, which btw I named her Winter Battle Evil Lyn in another thread a few days ago. Would be a great option for a 2.0 Evil Lyn. However, I think we should skip the Snow Cloaked head.
I would like to see the Helmeted Evil Lyn changed to make the helmet more 200X looking, rather than a simple reuse of her head from the 1st Evil Lyn and 2nd BG Evil Lyn.
The snow cloak could have the hood down in back like she removed it from her head already. Since the dress, cape and redesigned helmet (not too much tooling to change the helmet) would be the only items retooled. Then Mattel could throw in the 2nd helmet less head, dagger and staff/wand for profit by reusing these already tooled items.
New snow cloak and new helmet designed more like 200X, using the new female buck and of course the most requested part: The 200X style outfit.
Winter Battle Evil Lyn would be amazing.
Just my take on the subject...correcting the Helmeted head would be an easy re-tool job. The Cloak and outfit would cost the most for this figure. Adding the already tooled weapons and helmet less head would make profit on reusing them.
So here's to Winter Battle Evil Lyn or Winter Weather or whatever they want to call her.
Perhaps they can call her Winter Battle Armor Evil-Lyn.
That name is catchy and fits into the line.
Here's hoping to them doing Winter Battle Armor Evil-Lyn in 2013!!!!
Come on ToyGuru (scott) and the 4HM. Fix the obvious mistake of not changing her outfit and breaking the promise of a non repainted 200x Lyn, the promise of all females after Catra using the new 2.0 female buck and the promise of quarterly variants having as much tooling as the monthly characters (this was mentioned in WTFWTK 2.48).
Hopefully ToyGuru and the 4HM read this thread and deliver on their promises that were broken.
I'd be happy with just one 200X dress Evil-Lyn, and I think Rebel-Lyn has the best hair style, but I do love that fur-rimmed cape. Sure, why not!
I tried to go for minimal tooling, so that this looks attractive for Toyguru to actually consider. However, I'll throw that in as an optional replacement for the sacrificial knife should they have the budget for it.
I'll reiterate, the Snow Cloak angle is a "foot in the door" to get the figure that this segment of fans really wants. I think it works more as it's own thing than presenting Snake Men Alliance Evil-Lyn as an outright "Battleground Evil-Lyn redux". It's the illusion of a new variant...:skwink:
