I will still have an open mind about the movie, though.
New mysterious tweets from Jon Chu ,what do you think?
Late into the night working on something really fun that people won't see for 2 years
Hint: it's not #BelieveMovie that's almost done :) :)
Interesting. It can't be a commercial or music video, as they don't have such a large window between release and being worked on. A two year duration can only be a feature film, surely? I believe 2015 is in two years.
Not related (although it is, in a way) I read a business article the other day about Sony and their financial problems. They’re not selling Sony Pictures as has been rumoured a lot, but it did say that Sony Pictures wants more franchises in its library. MOTU would obviously fit the bill perfectly. It’s all about getting that infamous green-light. :skwink:
After witnessing Fast & Furious 6 on the big screen, and having plowed through the entire franchise in the past week or so, I wish Justin Lin was in the director's seat for Masters Of The Universe instead.
If Chu is so interested in this movie why isn't he on this site?
I had a film-historian knowledge before storyboarding Masters, so Im sure one person could lock themselves away and do it creatively, but I doubt this of Chu.
.."King GreySkull and the Zombie Apocalypse" coming soon:hmeek:
Do you think people would read a script before a storyboard?
I think the storyboards are essential.
..3D modeling is my new thing.
As for the fans, I want them to see a finished movie... how do I do that?
I need the resources of Hollywood, and they seem to be a closed club of rich people that don't care about movies anymore.
.."ashes to ashes, dust to dust,, if you don't take it out and use it, it's going to rust" Michael Ironside, Highlander 2.
..(I'll think about making a script too.:hmroll::csrroll:)
..there is nothing original anymore.
Eventually Hollywood will have to change and the very nature of all media forms will change too.
It could get worse or better.
If it gets better, then media will change into free education and government run news.
But local venues will stop buying into Hollywood releases and only play what sells.
I could go on about this.
..actually I've worked in many Cineplex's and seen many empty screening rooms.
I really don't care if the producer comes or not. What I want is a good movie. And I know that movie will be different because it has to be. Nothing stays the same.
..you might have a happy fanboy.
The great irony is that all these “fanboy-centric” films we’re seeing nowadays are aimed at everybody but fanboys. I think that’s the right way to go. Otherwise you’ll end up making a film no one wants to see. However, respect to the original source (whatever that may be) must always come into play.
Not always will the fanboys go see it (Mortal Kombat 2 , shame on you :hmmad:
More and more people are learning to just download movies and not pay Hollywood for trailer-based promotions.
Like the mercenaries and boatmen of the early Central American Caribbean after the English and Hollanders and French and Spanish came to cease war agreement, and they had to find an alternative to starvation. Piracy.
