Draego Man...claws down.
I'm still awaiting arrival on some of them. Then there will be a rumble and I'll report the winner.
Odds are in CGM's favor. King Waldor (Cy-Chop) and Draego-Man closely behind. TMS is the extreme long shot.
now that all of them grew on me I still think Fearless Photog is my #1 choice.
without thinking too much about it: Draego Man, although Castle Grayskullman is one step behind
I rank them in tiers:
"Better than average"
1.1. Draego-Man [best figure]
1.2. Castle Grayskullman
"Average"
2.1. Sir Laser-Lot
2.2. Fearless Photog
"Worse than average"
3.1. The Mighty Spector
3.2. Cy-Chop [worst figure]
I actually appreciate all I them and they all have a place on my shelves. But if I had to pick one, it'd be Draego Man.
Draego Man is the most awesome
Fearless Photog and Castle Grayskullman are okay
I'm fine with Cy Chop
Didn't bother shelling out the cash for Mighty Spector and Sir Laserlot
Admittedly, I haven't opened CGM or Cy-Chop yet, but I voted Photog. He's fantastic! I love Spector, SLL, and Draego, and CGM and CC are pretty nifty, though I'll be giving the latter some extra HP hands and CGM still makes me a bit jealous about the contest (I worked my butt off on that thing!).
Draego Man....no doubt. Then Grayskullman, Photog is not the greatest, but if I had an inkling to buy one I don't need or want, it would be him, the other 3 can stay far far away from my collection.
Sucks to be Spector & SLL, no votes from 49 voters....just bad. Cy-Chop....almost as horrible.
Photog! A promise finally fulfilled!
Castle Grayskullman & Draego Man...
Fearless Photog has his nostalgic thing going on for him, but he`s a lame figure.
The rest is crap...
I only have CGM, but I just instantly loved him. That face is so iconic. Instant nostalgia, even though CGM is a new figure. That's pretty hard to do.
Best: Draego Man wins easily. Cool design and cleaver reuse of parts.
Worst: Photog. The design was stupid back in the 80's and it's still stupid today. It's a figure with a camera for a head!?!? That's just ludicrous. It's the first and only figure I refuse to open and display. The only thing it has going for it is the fact that it was the winner of the original CAC contest. If the figure had been a new design by Scott or Terry, it would have been universally hated. The phrase "Blinded By Nostalgia" was made for this figure. :hmshift:
1. Draego-Man
2. Castle Grayskullman
3. Fearless Photog
4. Sir Laser-Lot
5. Mighty Spector
6. Cy-Chop
Either Draego or CG Man would do. I went with CG Man on this one.
Easy. Draego-Man. Just look at him.
Worst? TMS - just look at him.
Draego-Man is the only one I got but he is soooooo awesome. I'll probably pick up Sir Laster Lot some other time but he is the only other one I'm interested in.
Draego-Man and it's not even close.
I like them all and am glad I got the 30th sub but Draego-Man is tops. I ended up liking them all a lot more than I thought I would once I seen them in person. Especially Cy-Chop. I think he's my 2nd favorite as crazy as that may sound to some people on here.
Castle Grayskullman for me, although Draego-Man is an exceptionally fine figure as well. I'd put Photog 3rd, Cy-Chop 4th (he'd have been awesome with a bit more coherence to his design), Spector 5th (decent figure, just not a great MOTU figure), and SLL gets the participation pin because he was indeed a figure in the 30th anniversary line and I have to put him somewhere.
Spector no doubt about it!
Even after all the time since he was announced, I'm still so happy that Fearless Photog finally got made!
D-Man and CG-Man would be my #s 2 and 3.
Okay the results are in. After having them all for a week now, my favorite is:
Castle Grayskullman
The name grants to what would seem to be the silliest concept, but the figure itself is pure win all the way around. He's so BA looking, he seems like a concept that was dropped in '82 being he would be too much for kids. If MOTU had a fighting game- he would be the end boss.
The pulp art-deco beauty Fearless Photog is second. Mine just stands there, with neither accessory, stirring the imagination and always tempting to br picked up. Draego-Man is third.
