Wohoo! And Despara is so evil, it will give good Adora years of therapy!
Wohoo! And Despara is so evil, it will give good Adora years of therapy!
Good news.
Man-at-arms really has worrying look to him on the cover...he sure seems to love firing his blaster :sklol:
Teela, Teela, Teela...Mercy!
So psyched this is going monthly! Can't wait to see where it goes. I hope it's good!
I generally like the comics and redesigns, but I don't like Teela's outfit here for the reasons you've stated.
Why would she have her forearms tightly armored, but leave her chest (and so much else) so exposed? I'm all about BG Teela, and if this one had her chest more covered I could buy into it. I also like the 'Shipwrecked Teela' as it was drawn well and fit into the settings (desert, ocean, tropical island...). But this is too much. Comic-geek-fantasy nonsense.
Zing!
DESPARA FIGURE!!!!!! Yes please. Maybe a sub exclusive?
This is fantastic news and Teela looks amazing - nice to see the return of her red hair look! It's so great to be a He-Man fan right now. The brand is really picking up a lot of momentum and a regular comic is just the next logical step. Hopefully the influx of new product (like the game, collectible DVD's and various other merchandise) is just the start. I see this all culminating with new kids animation and an amazing live action movie.
A monthly comic will keep me satisfied for now though.
Either way, give me my Despara figure!
Maybe THIS is the rumored sub-line?
:holol: It's Despera. SHE's someone you know! Shocking reveal in her digital comic. BEST issue of the series thus far!
As Teela lay unconscious after battle in a pool of blood, she and her blonde hair were forever changed. BAM! :telol:Quote:
No, but I'm not too fused. Teela has history as a blonde AND a redhead, so I'm glad that Teela has had some "screentime" with her original hair color.
I do hope they EXPLAIN why she's suddenly got red hair all of a sudden. Maybe she switches up from time to time.
True that!
:hmlol:
Definitely add me to the list for a Despera figure. I want her a LOT more than a few of the 80's MOTU guys that are left. :sklol:
I agree! I'm not 100% in favour of the Hordak mask, but everything else with her design is exquisite! I'm not a big fan of most of the other redesigns, but whomever designed Despera gets an A+ in my book! :D
Really glad they are doing this. The comics so far have been great!

Hmmm....a Red Haired Bikini Teela has some nice possibilities...
Yay, Teela fits right in to DC's vision of women. :hmsad::hmsad::hmsad::hmsad::hmsad:
I only wish Ed Benes was doing the interior art as well, I have been a huge fan of the guys work ever since his run on the JLA a few years ago. As far as the character designs go, so far they look great. Its really the same basic look just updated, and given more detail.
Can't wait to get this one
Im stoked. I was really hoping the series would keep going. It gives me a reason to keep reading comics.
that Teela is absolutely gorgeous in that pic!
She curves in all the right places... [dirty ol man grin]... lol
yay yay YAY!
i'm so excited!... i was JUST feeling alittle sad, because apparently issue #6 AND the origin of he-man one-shot are now both coming out on the 30th. i'd been looking forward to them being separated, as i figured they'd be my last two times of getting brand new he-man comics with my girls. (we've made a "thing" since the first issue of going to the comic store together to get them, and then going to dairy queen for ice cream, and after eating it, sitting in there and reading the comic together)... it's been awesome to be able to experience/share brand new he-man stuff with them together for the first time [even if the series isn't quite stellar], and i was sad to see it go, and seemingly reduced to one single final experience as opposed to two.
NOW... with this awesome news, we'll be able to keep it going! yay!
and aside from that, yeah guys... this is nothing but awesome for the property, its public awareness, and the potential for growth! totally cool!
I have all the digital comics, but now I think I should hunt down the physical books. How difficult are they to find?
