That's noticeably closer to the cartoon. Nice work!
This is what Filmation would have looked like on a bigger budget, no need to speculate on that:
I would have considered subbing if there were some original Alcala comics characters in the line up (Masks of Power Demons, Kex Queen, etc)
If you need to feel like I'm doing that, I guess I can't stop you. But you seem to react the same to anyone with questions, regardless of how they're phrased.
No, I'm just saying your...
Well, Filmation already had significant presence in Classics (and continues to be well-represented in 2016), but I see your point. It makes sense for Filmation fans to get their main characters....
Sorry that you choose to take it that way. Again I don't get your aggressive response to even respectful questions. I promise won't sneak into the factory and start changing their molds. Not to...
People who are bashing 200x have way toooo much time on their hands to sit and nitpick these figures
People say they like these things because they're true to the originals and don't have extra details. They say they'd be very upset if more details were added. But where there are extra details, the...
Or, indeed, Son of He-Man fans
His armor looks like Play-Doh.
For people who like this simplified look, does it bother you that he has more sculpted detail than the cartoon reference (except for the fact that the face fur in...
10% is barely acceptable. 20% and it starts to look like those pics that people post of Classics figures posted against the vintage playset
I had another look at Beast Man. Man, he looks bad. He literally looks sculpted from Play-Doh. The others are better.
No problem, your PCS He-Man Battle Cat art is the bomb!
This guy does some impressive work:
The only thing I want from Collector's Choice is Night Stalker. Ergo no motivation to sub
For some reason I thought these were going to be painted. Since they're not, I don't see the point of them. Old Kenner figures were certainly painted
Nope, sorry. I'm going to sneak into the Chinese factory and tinker with your toys. All your toys. :hmtung:
I'm sad to hear that about William George.
I agree, Nate could do a great job. So could Eamon
It was great that we got Rudy Obrero to do the box art for Classics Castle Grayskull. We need the same thing for Snake Mountain. Not sure if Mr. George is still doing commercial work, but it would...
It's not bad on the sides, but it does appear to be a solid lump of yellow on top
Have: gray Trap Jaw weapons
Want to trade for: Black Roboto weapons (or really just the claw attachment).
Have: Leech's Net
Want to trade for: Hordak's red bat pet thing
Classics and even vintage MOTU bodies have way more detail than Filmation. Not saying Filmation is totally undetailed, but there is a noticeable difference. However without any shading to highlight...
Yeah, I don't know what the Four Horsemen have against giving He-Man his properly colored boots and loin cloth, whether the source is the vintage toy or Filmation. They always seem to feel the need...
It's funny that in 1986 Mattel spent so much money on new sculpts for the heroic warriors (Rokkon, Stonedar, Extendar, Rio Blast, Snout Spout), and IMO they ended up being some of the worst figures....
The good thing about this line is I think it's going to bring in a lot of people who weren't hardcore into MOTU but nevertheless remember the cartoon with fondness.
That's straight up amazing!
I think it was cheaper to animate with tiny gaps between blade and guard that could just be colored in gray without it looking weird.
Besides being inaccurate to the source material, the Flogg sword also looks sloppy in the execution. The rounded bits are asymmetrically placed.
Number one, Point Dread/Talon Fighter
Number two, Snake Mountain
Number three, Night Stalker
