Better yet, both!
Great episode. I always enjoy hearing Eric's perspective on the figures and the line
This might be my favorite so far! Great work
The left version looks like Luke Skywalker :hmtung:
I think what they did is add an ankle rocker piece and throw the original upper part of the boot on top of it. The way the original was sculpted, it was intended to sink into the foot. But now it's...
Regarding the figure itself, the face sculpt is really nice. It's the best-looking Filmation He-Man face sculpt I've seen.
Pity about the long, skinny boots though. Also the harness is quite...
That's a great point
The shows were great. I love the animation when it's in motion. But when I look at still images or even figures or statutes based on Filmation, I'm always a bit blah on it. I'm more excited by the...
Cool episode. Interesting behind the scenes stuff. You can tell a lot of love went into this project.
Quick comment on He-Man's costume. The red and gold don't work for me - those aren't really He-Man colors (Flying Fists notwithstanding). He-Man actually works best when he's not too colorful. If...
Bumping an old thread. This is what Mark Taylor did (that was produced in the 80s), as far as I know:
Battle Cat (saddle/helmet)
Agreed but he would need some new parts
Leo Faker with the vintage toy style head sculpt in two versions. One with the painted mask, one without to go with the standard Faker
MAA in vintage toy colors
This is really great stuff, thanks for sharing it with us!
+1. Vehicles have trickled out so slowly. I hope they do two this year. Roton and Landshark or Attak Trak.
The word has been that it's Rudy Obrero, but I don't recall if Matty itself said that. Still, the style is identical to the art on the Grayskull box. I'm confident that Rudy did this.
I really dig MAA, that would again be a great look for a movie version
Good question, it sounds plausible! I guess we'd need to see a figure concept sheet to be sure.
I'd like the dungeon grate, but at the same time you would never really see it because of the dungeon walls
Actually I suppose some of the toy photos are mine, but those aren't nearly as interesting as the artwork. :hmlol:

Just don't do what I did and use up all the toner...
Wow, I'm jealous! That first run Battle Cat is gorgeous.
The good news: it's dried out and working now.
The bad new: now I have to use the toilet phone
This is absolutely amazing. If the movie looked like this I'd be very happy. Excellent, excellent work!
I was all set to listen to this, and then my son dropped my cell phone into the toilet
Great find, Jukka! Really interesting stuff
I just watched the movie, so it will be nice to listen to a discussion about it. Thanks!
Hi, glad you're enjoying the blog, and thanks! Please feel free to download anything you like. I don't own the images. The only content I'm generating is the text.
I've printed several things off...
I voted no, but "don't care" would have been more accurate.
You mean appearance in media? He was one of the very first figures planned for release, along with He-Man and Skeletor.
His first media appearance would probably be the King of Castle Grayskull...
