RIP Mr. Larson
I feel similar. After years of improved sculpts and articulation, I just can't go back. Some of the likenesses on these are worse than the vintage figures they're paying homage to.
A local store refused to honor my rain check today, stating corporate instructions.
I used to collect A LOT of lines. Now, only a few: Lego, SW Black, and DCC Batman the Animated Series are pretty much it for me.
Here is some of what I sold:
TMNT (vintage): I had pretty much...
That is an insane score. My local Target was wiped out but gave me a rain check, we'll see if they restock while it's active (until 10/16).
But how would a company accurately measure something like this? What's hard to find in your area may not be hard to find in mine, and vice versa. They can measure which ASINs sell better over an...
How would toy companies track this? For every Ebay/Amazon sale there is a local/regional flea mkt/comic shop/toy convention where scalpers thrive, too. Toy companies don't care about the secondary...
Sounds like the Foot Soldier and Krang are shipping with the 4 Turtles. I haven't seen them personally, but from reading other forums, sounds like they've just started hitting and that's why they're...
The music was almost all late-60s/70s :hmtung:
Amazon had that 2-pack under $20 at one point. I've seen Joker as low as $5 a few times.
The complete Batman 1966 series pre-ordered on Blu-ray. Pricey, but a must-have.
Germany is pretty good...
At Walmarts, April is shipping in equal quantities. So, blame the scalpers. I don't know about the other stores, though.
Just because an event has never happened in history doesn't mean it won't happen. And this year, the odds are 25% for a Germany-Netherlands final.
My main issue was, after having a ton of Movie Masters in 6" scale, Mattel switched the scale for the figures that a lot of Movie Masters collectors wanted (Burton Batman, Reeves Supes). So I went...
I'm feeling Germany over Brazil, and the Netherlands over Argentina in the semi-finals. Then Germany over the Netherlands for the championship. Germany look like the best team so far.
I've hit probably a dozen Walmarts in the last couple weeks. April is the fig I've seen the least of, followed by Raph in disguise. Some stores had plenty of everyone, some stores were pretty much...
July 6. Many Walmarts have broken street date and put them out early. They're usually on a cube display with new cartoons and roleplaying stuff. I've read that some Targets and TRUs are also breaking...
LOVED this week's episode, one of my favorites of the series. And I'm not even a big Jon Snow fan.
I'll just leave this here:
WOOLLY FREAKIN' MAMMOTHS!
Here is a good article from Variety about GotG merch:
Hopefully this shows that fresh characters with a new...
$5 Used blu-rays from Redbox:
Captain America: The First Avenger
Iron Man 3
Thor: The Dark World
The beetle got crushed.
LOL. That "recent Avengers movie" made 1.5 billion dollars at the box office AND is highly-reviewed. Popularity doesn't necessarily mean quality, but I think the fumes from those dollar store robots...
Wes Anderson Criterion Blurays at Costco:
The Life Aquatic (before street date)
The Fantastic Mr. Fox
Target personally, and I've heard of sightings at some Walgreen's locations.
Looking for the Marvel Select "The Wolverine" fig that came out in late 2013. This thing draws some crazy prices on the secondary market, but I'm willing to pay above retail. Loose is fine as long as...
The triangular, black space ship with blue engine in the 2nd pic is from the line StarCom. That line included space ships with 2" astronauts that had magnets on their feet. Some of the other stuff...
