Looking forward to this sub.
She-Valier is knocking my socks off, and Hiproar has been one of my favorite fan-characters since she first appeared.
I'm beyond flattered that you gave us your take on Heala - it...
I saw these over on deviantart not too long ago and still really enjoy them. Nice work.
The helmet works well, and the face / expression strike me as perfect for Scorpia.
As if Shadow Weaver wasn't bad enough, now she's undead!?!? :sweek: Seriously, though, I kind of enjoy this idea ... I'd be curious as to how her resurrection would change her, but I would imagine...
Can you be more specific about what you mean by "mystic" with regard to Lokus? I tried to stay pretty close to his Filmation design, but I'm open to suggestions, I guess a little lion-maned demon...
Awesome - geeking out over Double Trouble and Sultra in particular.
Thanks - I appreciate the comments, and I am glad folks are seeing what I'm trying to do.
That's why I wanted to ally them with Castaspella as part of my effort to add some ferocity to the PoP...
Really cool, both in concept and execution - I love it.
Attack-O-Lantern is one of my favorite MotU fan-characters ever.
Love the "GQ" He-Man, and love even more the fact that you appear to be using traditional physical media.
Thanks for all the kind words - they are truly appreciated.
Things have gotten a little hectic lately, but I'm still trying to make sure I find some time here and there to get some art done.
You and Niki are both right, I think, in terms of a general lack of discussion on the fan-art forum lately (as well as a lack of art from some of the "big names" lately).
A lack of feedback can...
I have to agree, a redesign doesn't have to be drastic to be effective.
I also agree that Galvatron has a point; in an ideal world all the redesigns would be presented in the same art style in...
Those are really cute; I don't typically love chibi-type stuff but I am enjoying these quite a bit.
I appreciate your comments / critiques, so please keep 'em coming.
I apparently can't draw She-Ra without then wanting to draw all the PoP gals ... so, here's my latest take on Queen...
Thanks! I had a lot of fun with her, so I'm glad someone enjoys her.
Wow, it has been a long time; I'm flattered that my art could rouse you from your slumber. :skwink: Seriously,...
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's right too.
I miss this thread being updated. :sksad:
Ok, I haven't given up on Adora yet, I just haven't figured out where I want to go with her. I have been playing around with some new ideas (for me anyway) for She-Ra:
Thank you; I was pretty pleased with how he turned out.
I'm such a sucker for cool earrings/jewelry on a character, I don't know why. I can respect that you don't care for them though. ...
Thanks Niki; I plan on sticking with the old standard background for finished pieces - that seems to be the general consensus and I agree with it. The Randor piece is more of a work-in-progress, so...
Seriously, though, I have liked your vision of He-Man ever since I first saw it on DeviantArt.
As always, I love your art.
I also enjoy your (re-)imagining of Preternia and King Grayskull. This would have been a series I would very much enjoy, particularly the more "adult" take. I feel...
Hopefully it's not too late to throw my hat in the ring:
I wanted to redesign not just his look, but to an extent his bio.
The look really didn't change that much, keeping the same...
I would probably be all about this regardless, but if the figures were based on the vintage toys (but updated appropriately to accommodate the lack of soft goods), I would be ecstatic.
Snout Spout (although I'd rather see a full-on 200x/station variant)
Unmasked Zodak (re-release)
in that order.
I don't really care to have a Randor head...
My take on Captain (King?) Miro.
I went with a take on his 200x look, but with some nods to MotUC sensibilities (using Man-at-Arms' shoulder armor, standard forearms, Man-E-Faces hands, etc.). ...
That's astonishing ... wow. I love it.
Oh, if only this is what we had gotten in MotUC ... this is what I hoped the PoP figures in MotUC would have been.
:hmshift: hoping for an update ... :hmwink:
