Yep. Seller is mistaken.
I wouldn't call it rare, but it's less common than others. Malaysia soft head is rarer!
Makes sense to me
Hi Mantisaur, any theories on the Hong Kong and China made figures. (vintage, not the comm made in Chinas)
I've seen carded the same figs that are made in Hong Kong printed on the card, or some...
The worst figure in MOTU! :hmlol:
but great comparison pics as usual Mantisaur
Correct  Rotoplast Roboto does not have the painted details.
I have also seen Hong Kong variants with the greenish gear, not sure if this is discolouration due to age or an actual...
Just a Roboto :hmconf:
Rotoplast !! Very rare and the final figure I needed to complete my...
Mantisaur, here's my Hong Kong examples, I'm think the green one is an ageing effect in the plastic, must have some variation during production that causes this after many years....
Although some figures are marked France I believe that every figure on a Masters Del Universo card was actually made in Spain.
This is not the same as French cards, some France carded figs are made...
Any collectors that have, or have seen the following figures made in Spain?
I can confirm every figure (giants excluded) was made in Spain, except for the above 3.
There's no dark arms variant.
Great pics and info on production variants as always!
Battlecat and He-Man country variants
They had the license in Venezuela to produce MOTU. (Like LEO and Top Toys in other countries)
Goodluck getting any MOC, they almost always get ripped open by customs, and even loose figures will be...
Sorry Romer but mossman was not released by rotoplast.
Neither was that two bad in your link.
If there is no Mexican made Megator, then that is the ONLY figure without a variant in the entire MOTU line.
Nice pics mantisaur
Quite a few India LEOs seem to turn up in Serbia, was LEO a distributer there?
I've got a few of these Robot toys loose and MOC, they are definately what was used to make the Evil Robot prototype, and they are small as everyone has said.
Megalodon doesn't know what he's...
Only subtle differences in these, shade of colour on the feet looks a little different. Not sure on the accessories.
The Spanish figures legs will probably fall off just from looking at it. :hmlol:
I wouldn't use the word rare, just less common. It's certainly not the golden nugget you're thinking it is.
LEO- Has a paper chest sticker, not the hologram.
I have one of these in my LEO collection, pretty strange and rare, only seen a few pop up for sale over the years :hmlol:
I'll need to sort my Italian and Spanish figs out! :hmlol: I know I have at least 6 made in Italy, Saurod, Sorceress, LP He-Man, LL Skeletor, Megator and Tytus
Anyway some more collection...
wow that definitely confuses things. I had thought that only Spanish figs had the translucent leg bands :hmconf: They are very fragile.
I will need to have a sort through my Spanish collection, I...
Any other made in Italy figs you're aware of?
These are my 2 Greece figs. The Skeletor has very soft and translucent accessories!...
Some variant group shots
Hi Mantisaur, Do you know of any other figs marked USA?
You have great variant knowledge  You need to document it all!!
WalkerBoh, can you explain the HK Leech without the red bat on his chest and the colour of his belt. I have never seen this before. :hmeek:
The best part about collecting vintage motu is the massive amount of variants, obtaining every figure would be an epic task!!
It is my goal to complete this challenge :hmlol:
I am afraid not even I have every variant! but I'm working on it :hmlol:
If you require pics of anything in particular, I am happy to help
