I was wondering if that would change, since we now have an official toy release. I understood that was a major reason as to why the comic was not being released here.

    Take it easy,
    Darren
Mattel please, buy the He-Man and She-Ra cartoons from Entertainment Rights. If you owned Both Filmation related "MotU" cartoons, plus "NA" and "MYP" cartoons, you would be able to distribute any or all 4 cartoons to Television in the lead up to another relaunch or a live action movie. Plus, you could include Filmation and "NA" animated characters in "MotU:C"!

    Long Live 'MOTU'!

I guess the other factor would be getting a local publisher to print it, it's doubtful if anyone would want to front the money to reprint a struggling comic.
"So what am I supposed to do with it?"
"It's a magic sword. You lift your arm and shout 'By the power of Grayskull', or something like that."
    "And then what happens?"
"Then you get struck by lightning."
*looks at the sword for a moment*
    "Here then, you try it."

Most comic stores import anyway, so the he-man comic is pretty easy to get, tho it does cost a couple of bucks more.

    First Post: Good News!

    Well for me anyway... LOL.

I got the Battle Ram from Nutnog today. It looks pretty cool. I haven't totally removed it form the box because I'll forget how it goes back in (I'll have to take a photo first). I took my slime pit out of the box and do you think I can work out how to put it back in????

The included Skeletor is the one without the blackwash face. I thought he would look better than the wave 1 skelly, but I actually think the blackwash looks better. If anyone wants, I find a way to put photo's up.

    Second post: bad news!

Um... what is happening with the cartoon? Trust Australia to do an even worse job with the line than the US has.

Why do I bring this old topic to the surface. Well, this morning a new cartoon has begun on cheez Tv - Sonic the hedgehog??!!! Unless Cheez tv doesn't actually want MoTU, why isn't it on weekday tv???

    It's now or never!!!!!

While on the topic, if it is the case that Cheez tv doesn't want MoTU then shame on these toy/card game/video game manufacturers! and shame on today's kids! I'm not against the whole 30 min advert thing (some people are against cartoons purely being adverts for the latest toyline).

What I am against, are the pathetic excuses for todays cartoons. Take Yu-Gi-Oh. This cartoon would have to be the most repetitive, unimaginative and predictable cartoon currently doing the rounds. I've had it playing in the background while I get ready for work in the morinings and so I have seen enough episodes to know what I'm talking about.

    I challenge anyone to find an episode that doesn't follw this structure;

    • Hero enters a challenge with todays new enemy.

    • A bland card battle begins

    • Suddenly, all hope is lost. The hero declares he has absolutely no hope of winning - all his friends around him sigh in agreeance.

    • His challenger laughs an evil laugh and tells him to give up

    • One friend of the hero (usually the smallest/youngest) shouts out an encouraging "hang in there"

    • The hero remembers an 'old friend' (usually grandpa) telling him to "believe in the heart of his cards"

    • Suddenly the hero turns over the very card he needs. he had somehow completely forgotten about this card and it seems to have been the ONLY ONE to have been able to help him win.

    • The villian cires in disbelief as his flawless game play seems all for naught.

    .... spare me!

I went into my local comic store today, and they'd mistakenly been sent a whole stack of MOTU # 6, I'm not sure if this is an isolated incident, but it might be worth making a phone call or two!
This was at Comic Warriors, Annerley, Brisbane!
And best part was, they were the price of a regular comic!

    *Re-posting this from another thread*
I just spoke to Mattel Australia, and was told that the shipment that we just got (the new Snake repaints) will be the last figures we get this year.....BUT that there would definitely be new releases next year, though we won't find out specifics until around January.
This info was relayed from the Brand Manager, but I'm not sure what to think, considering we only ever received the new repaints, and Wave One, so obviously, we aren't an important part of the market.
    Still, it gives me hope.....

And the info I got about the Snake-Men being released here came from Casefresh having them up for pre-order with an October release date. I'll try and find out how he's getting them, though I assume from my talk with Mattel that he must be importing them himself or something?

Good news for me I'm exempt from gst but have to pay for postage. Looks like I'll have to order a GreySkull!! I have to laugh because I get all my motu sent to work. That way I know when it comes in and theres no way it can get stolen. The same person drops the boxes on my desk...never asks what it is or anything...you know they wanna ask ya!!

Also I agree most cartoons these days are crap. Bring back Wacky Races!!

Considering Season 2 probably won't air until end of the year or early next year it makes sense if we don't get more figs until then (especially the Snakemen ones). However, I would be upset if that were the case.
