Hooray for boy fairies! lol. I figure my guys are guy, cause, why not? and since being gay is kinda like being a girl, gay guys get to have winx powers, lol.

Hopefully I'll have some colored stuff soon, just fyi.

First off, these are beautiful pictures! They are simple and straight to the point, and there's nothing to bounce your eye over except for the figure (which to me is sometimes preferable, I think *too much* detail muddies a pic and my eyes don't like to go "everywhere"). But simple backgrounds are nice. The color is gorgeous! Influenced by the characters, but they have great contrast. Especially Bloom. I'm not one for aqua colors, but this one is lovely.

I guess that depends on whose "school of thought" you go for. In order for me to not go totally geeky on everyone, I'll just say that Brian Froud's books represent fae as creatures who are really just beings of pure magical energy, who pick whatever form they feel is preferable to themselves, IF they have to reveal themselves. This includes human (male, female, young, old), animals, plants, or just a basic visual representation of their energy form.

On another note, Brian Froud's books are extremely cool, well thought out and presented, always worth a look (or the hemmoraging of your dollars). But be warned, sometimes he can make you feel inferior.

    All right, /Froud geeky obsession

    You're welcome!

I can't wait till you try to do--

SPOILER WARNING FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T BOTHERED TO DO A YAHOO! OR GOOGLE SEARCH

Layla (neé Aisha) a the new Winx Club member from the upcoming Season 2. If you do a Yahoo! or Google search there are enough pictures of her that you probably could do a picture of her fairly easily.

    Thanks for your continued interest.

Ok, so I have sketches coming super soon, they are all done I just have to scan them in. I actually ended up drawing each remaing winx girl. So I have a sketch each of Tecna, Stella, Musa, and Layla. Although, I need to tweak Layla's pic because I'm not as happy with hers as I am the others, so you may have to wait an extra day or two to see her, but she's coming. I did all of them in the profile shot like Bloom and Flora, cause I kinda had a series going and I wanted to finish it.

I should have the sketches up sometime in the afternoon.

    *******EDIT*******

    Here are Musa and Tecna!!

A little preview of Tecna. I've completed some of her outlining, although it's looking really jagged, so I'll have to go back and fix that, I got spoiled with Illustrator, but I want of of them to match, and I did teh first 2 with the polygonal tool.

    Anyways here is Tecna:

    Seahawk,

Your picture of Tecna is superb.

Now, let's see you finish a drawing of Layla (neé Aisha) long before 4KidsTV on Fox shows Season 2! There are plenty of reference pictures you can get from doing a Yahoo! or Google image search to complete that rough drawing you've done already. Or you can go to www.winxclub.com (the original Winx Club site done by Rainbow S.r.l., the production company responsible for the show) and look up the Italian language section; there, you will see a lot of images of Layla (neé Aisha).

If you scroll up a bit, you can see a Layla drawing, although I don't like it, so I'm going to redo it. But Layla is next on my list. Hopefully I'll have her close to completion this weekend.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I have re-worked my Layla sketch, and have begun outlining her, so she should be done soon.

I was curious about the show some time back and have only seen a few episodes and they are okay but I think the dolls are really cool!

Seahawk your WINX art should be the boxart on the back of the WINX line of dolls! Just saw the Layla one and all of them are truly awesome! Nice work!

    Wow!

That picture of Aisha (neé Layla) is just stunning. I'll almost bet even money that the majority of Winx Club fans--unless they are serious toy collectors and/or surf the Internet carefully--won't know who she is. I can't want to see her finally when Season 2 starts on September 10, 2005 on 4KidsTV on Fox.

For those who are interested, Volume 1 of The Winx Club has been released on DVD. It's 5 episodes. Wal-Mart has it for $9

So are these new Pixie versions of the dolls actually gonna get released. The dolls as a whole haven't seemed to have done well around here cause Mattel hasn't done good marketing. I've never even seen them at my Wal-Mart here and K-Mart has them on clearance right now. I'd love to have Layla/Gladis or whatever her name is and I'd hoped they'd release the other witches.

I thought I would bring this back to life since the new Jakks Pacfic Dolls are out, Well the Deluxe ones. I have been able to Find 5 out of 6 and still looking for Musa. The weird thing is I hear rumors that there are 3 Blooms 1 Stella, 1 Floria and 1 of the others depending on the case. On my hunts I think it is true(no Proof) because I find tons of blooms and a few Stella but not much else. The Dolls are great and the show is Awesome but I hope all Jakks Case Assortments are not this bad or some of the Dolls are going to be hard to get. Has anybody else been hunting for these? and what are finding out there?

I saw bloom, Stella, flora and Aisha at 1 tru. I picked up bloom, but should have gotten Aisha. Haven't seen Tecna or Musa yet. I do think scalpers are thinking this line will be profitable as when I went back, the shelf was cleared out.
