Thanks, man. That's exactly what I was looking for. I totally forgot all about these things until someone mentioned it in an article I was reading and it all came rushing back to me. It's amazing how you can have a memory stored away from 1985 that you don't even know is there until something triggers it. The human mind never ceases to amaze.

    Very good question bigdaddy

These glass pieces were obtained through prizes won at the traveling Carnivals and fairs that came to different towns in the 80's. There are five different ones that were released that I know about and have in my collection.

Yours should have come with a little cardboard frame. Here is a picture for you.

    check these out:

I don't know how rare this is, but i think it was the first MOTU boardgame invented. I have seen some on e-bay in proper boxes, but here in Singapore (where I live) this was never sold in the stores. It was only available with a KFC value meal thingy back in 1982, or 83, I don't remember exactly.

They gave it out in a big bag with a smaller bag for the counters, rules and cardboard and plastic spinner. Unfortunately my spinner has long vanished. But the board remains and it's really just a simple game to get to Grayskull. Whatever it is, the pop-up board ROCKS!!When I was 6 years old the top of zoar's wings towered over me when the board was opened on a table! And check out the rather different concept of beastman at the volcano, which opens and closes different pits around it as skeletor and beastman are moved around the edge.

Another interesting thing was this game was available at KFC about 6 months before the original MOTU line hit the local shores. So it actually preceeded the toys here.

Small updates to my photobucket page from peoples requests, but mainly just to bump this page up and inspire people to go out and find those merchandise items to report here

Come on, we need more posts than bigdaddy's poster thread
