I bought the starter set from the Comic Book Shoppe on Clyde. Basically the first 2 season of DBZ were heavily edited and 13 episodes were cut out. Plus the voices were done by the Ocean Group while the rest were done by Funimations in house team where they hired local voice actors. To milk everything for what it's worth there are only 3 episodes per disc. There should be about 21 disks or so for the entire first 2 seasons. The episodes are uncut and contain the original Japanese version. In terms of bonus material it has a 25 minute featuret with Sean Schemel and Chris Sabat about playing Goku and Vegeta, a special nimbus cloud showing what was originally cut out, DBZ trivia and some trailers for future releases. The starter set comes with the box and a Goku figure. I'm happy that I can finally complete my DBZ dvd collection.

I just picked up the Astro Boy box set. I thought it was the original series, but it turns out it is the remake from last year. Still a good series though, although Sony put some of the episodes out of order (dopes!). Worth picking up for any Anime/Astro Boy fan.

I bought a DVD of Buffy's first two episodes from Season 1. I had seen the eps months ago, and liked them. Plus, the DVD was only $6.99. I couldnt resist, and I'm rarely an impulse buyer. I already owned Buffy Season 5, and just wanted to add this to my collection. It's a tad cheaper than buying the whole first season.

Tomorrow I plan to pick up Quantum Leap Season 3, In Living Color Season 3, and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.

DVDs have become my bain of my existence. I spend WAY too much money on them, but I can't resist. I love them too much, ahh!!! Ever since I got my first DVD player in May of 1998, its just become a HUGE addiction. I have to do an exact count again soon, but I'm sure that I am well over 400 DVDs at this point (and this is counting each TV show season set as 1 DVD, each movie with an extra bonus disc as 1 DVD, etc - so the actual number of individual discs would be WAY more).

A lot of people actually know me at my local Best Buy store. I usually stop in their every Tuesday for the new releases after work. It was funny, last Tuesday I came home after work because I was very tired, took a nap, then got up and went to Best Buy later than I normally would, and when I went in, this one employee who I talk to on a regular basis just looked as his watch and said "you're late."

I even have my own website where I would keep track of and post pictures of every DVD that I own. But ever since I started going out with my girlfriend almost a year ago, I've severly slacked off, and I don't think I've updated the DVD section since maybe June or July of last year. I plan to sit down one day and do a massive update, but it will take WAY too much time. Oh well, hopefully I will get to it sometime soon.
