Ditto! It has some absolutely fantastic sound to it. I was watching with 5.1 surround sound, and the sewer scenes were particular nice. I could hear individual drops of water all around my room, including an alien hiss ONLY in the back corner of my room at one point. It was awesome!

I have to say, too, that I'm pleasantly surprised with the first AvP movie on Blu-ray. I never picked up the blu-ray version, because I'm one of those people that after they watch the director's cuts, I can't go back to a theatrical cut. Same reason why I never picked up Terminator 2 on Blu-ray, and wouldn't pick up Aliens or LotR if they were theatrical cuts only.

To my surprise, AvP had both the theatrical AND director's cuts (from the special edition DVD) included! It may not have had any special features (another big reason why I wouldn't jump to replace a DVD with something in high-definition), but it was really nice to see I won't have to go without the complete movie.

On a side note, I only picked up Predator on blu-ray because I was told the quality and sound are drastically improved over the DVD. I wasn't originally going to get it because of its complete lack of special features, especially considering I just got the special DVD edition of Predator that's packed with extra bonuses. I haven't watched the blu-ray version yet, though, as I was watching AvP:R last night (so sue me, I still enjoy it quite a bit, actually), but I hope to check it out tonight or tomorrow.

Next high-def movie I'm buying? Commando. Oooooh yeeeah.

Well, typically folks find out of DVD releases checking sites (like I mainly check Amazon and TV Shows On DVD -- thus I tend to be up on what's coming).

But yes, Captain N has been released on DVD (Seasons 1 & 2 together, and Season 3 released with Super Mario World cartoon).

The only drawbacks are the popular songs used in Season 1 have been replaced with simple music; and the ep. "When Mother Brain Rules" is absent.
