Yes, but the question is, what is Ridley Scott going to do with the Alien prequel he's now helming.

The blu-ray player makes DVD's look just as good as a BR. And not to mention most of the BR videos seem to be missing most of the Special Features that come on special edition DVD's of the movies. I have over 700 movies on DVD's, not something I'm gonna waste time replacing, especially at the prices of new BR discs.

Not that I blame you for not upgrading every DVD you own to Blu-Ray (because I also own way to many DVDs to upgrade them all), but speaking as someone who has Blu-Ray, I can tell you that while Blu-Ray players do upscale DVDs, which will help them look better, it's still not as good as Blu-Ray and never will be.

Also, regarding the issue with special features, that is more or less a thing of the past. Yes, there are still some exceptions, but the lack of extras was an issue that plagued Blu-Rays when the format first came out. These days, the Blu-Ray typically has the same extras as the DVD, and in some cases even more that the DVD doesn't.

Well, I too have a BR player, and I've only been buying BR movies that I don't already have If I do replace DVD's with them, I'll be waiting for them in the used sections LOL

    Blu-Ray copies of:

Zombieland - Hilarious movie. Watched it a couple of times since I picked it up and it's still a blast.

Planet Hulk - Extremely well done. Probably my favorite Marvel animated movie so far, and on par with the best of the DC ones. Marvel has come a long way since the really boring and subpar Avenger movies. Still can't tell if I like this or Dr. Strange as my personal favorite Marvel animated movie, though.

Up - Just saw it for the first time. An incredible movie. I had no idea it was this good.

BluRay _ The Devil Wears Prada. My husband loves it and it was only $10, so early VDay gift.

I'll probably get Zombieland Friday. I LOVE zombie stuff and hear this one is great!

Last night I purchased all 4 Die Hard Movies for $19 at Walmart. It could have been $16 but I wanted all of them to be Widescreen.

I still fiddle with regular DVDs.

District 9 - love it or hate it, but a new classic is born
Drag Me To Hell - OMG! Just saw this for the first time. Some seriously scary stuff going on here
Last House on the Left - remake
The Brothers Grimm - eyecandy from start till end
Land of the Dead - one never goes wrong with Romero
Thir13en Ghosts - good, ol'fashioned ghost story, I always loved it

Queer As Folk USA Season 1 - Never saw this either, but it's way better than the original Brit version
    Will & Grace Seasons 6-8
    Armageddon will soon be here,
the sinners will meet their fate.
But I am calm and without fear,
as I feed upon my hate.
