    My most recent acquisitions are:

Gilmore Girls Seasons 1 and 2
Mystery Science Theater 3000 Volume 6
Batman: The Animated Series Volume 2
    Gargoyles: The Complete First Season

I'd still like to get the first season of Murphy Brown on DVD, plus there's a new Gilmore Girls season set on the horizon, as well as classic TMNT Season Two, another MST3K set, the fourth season of the West Wing, etc.

So I have way too much to buy than I can afford. I'll probably focus on Gilmore Girls, MST3K, and classic TMNT in the immediate future. Maybe the West Wing Season Four...it just depends on my funds.

Wow, did I actually find another Van Damme fan out there? I have every one of his DVD's. Wake of death is a really well done movie.

As for the last DVD's I bought, Death Wish, Charles Bronson's Vital Hits, Crocodile Dundee 1 and 2.

Yes I am a Van Damme fan. I would have really liked to see Jean-Claude Van Damme and Arnold Schwarzenegger do a movie together in their prime. But more of a team work deal instead of the Universal Soldier deal (BTW really good movie) with Dolph Lungren where they were pitted against each other.

The last one I picked up was Spider-Man 2. It's a reallly good one, if I remember not to watch it around my family. (Don't ask.)

    TMNT (90's version) season 1

I was going to buy the Superman set, but I didn't find it

edit- Does the Donnie Darko director's cut have a lot of stuff not on the regular release? I didn't even know they released a director's cut, as the regular dvd had a bunch of deleted scenes already included.

I'm selfish this year, I'm waiting for my tax returns and spending about $300 on some box sets. I picked up season one of Greatest American Hero today. Belive it or not, I like the packaging. The new thin cases are neat, they used the same kind for the Wonderfalls DvD set. I also liked the logo on the discs. It came with an instruction booklet, but I lost it.

Anyway I'm hoping for a full Season Box Set of Full Metal Alchemist, rather than just Volume 1-whatever.

I just picked up season 1 for $33.99 plus tax which came to about $38. It was new. Not sure if that is a good price but last time I saw it, it was $48 plus tax.

I think the Director's Cut just has those scenes integrated into the movie with new stuff too.

Sucks that you couldn't find the Superman. Either the DC box sets are selling like mad or they're not being well stocked.

I haven't finished Donnie Darko The Director's Cut, but I think it is mostly the deleted scenes added back in, and to be honest, they don't really add much. The biggest difference so far is the very beginning. They switched out the music so that the movie now opens set to INXS's "Never Tear Us Apart" which I think actually fits the movie very well. There are a couple of scenes with new computer effects, but in my opinion they kind of suck.

There's also a new commentary by Richard Kelly along with Kevin Smith. Kevin didn't have anything to do with this movie, but I think he and Kelly are friends. In addition, it comes with a bonus disc with lots of featurettes about the cult phenomenon of Donnie Darko as well as Making-of stuff. I just got it, so I haven't watched any of the bonus stuff yet.

I picked up Saw. The lack of substantial extras tell me that Lion's Gate will throw some Uncut Special Edition around the time Saw 2 comes out.
