Not only is there an issue with the space on your body, but tat guns can only do a line so small..

Most of the small characters will end up as colored blobs, and I would be amazed if any reputable tat artists didn't advise you to tone it down.

I would recommend scaling it back to maybe 6 characters at most.

Either that, or do a Perez sytle multi-head shot of everyone. Boring, but you could get everyone in that way.

I agree with scaling it way back to a half-dozen characters. So He-Man and Skeletor for sure, then you want something attractive so definitely Evil Lyn or Teela. Both would be better. That leaves a couple spots left for your favorite characters.

For leg sleeves, I personally would ditch the battle scene idea though. My thought would be to have Grayskull and a hero gallery on one leg and Snake Mountain w/ its Villains on the other.

On that same line of thinking, maybe something like a snake wrapping around with the Evil Warriors heads and possibly upper chest over the snake, culminating in the snake head at the top of Snake Mountain.

Yeah, no offense but I seriously doubt that will fit on your leg or legs for that matter. Your best bet is to get it on your back. Take it from me, someone who has tattoos. Sounds like a good idea.

I think you would save a lot of space and squeeze in most characters if you have them grouped as armies, rather than two people fighting in duels. I am usually not a fan of Snake men but they might look very cool if you also put some snake skin motifs on your skin. Why don't you put only Heroic warriors vs. Evil warriors for now, and then later put the Horde and Snakemen on your other leg?

If you're a fan of the MYP cartoon I'd do Hordak vs. King Hiss dueling in one area and then Heroes vs. Skeletor's forces battle somewhere else.

hey thanks for the responces everyone, ... yeah i agree that the battle just wont work out unless its 6 people or so...

so i was thinking maybe more along the lines of the one leg being heroic warriors (all the main one and my favorites) and the other leg the evil warriors (same thing) , in the fashion of Emiliano's card from the S2V1 dvd release...

    sound better?

You should do it like the Eternia playset. Grayskull on one leg, Snake Mt. on the other leg and Eternia on the third leg.

How about Center Tower on his back, and each of the towers on the appropriate arms?

I only have a couple tattoos, and I'm REALLY picky about what I get, and you should be too. There aren't that many characters I'd get a tattoo of; I'd be sick of looking at an Orko inked on my forearm every day. Nevermind the fact I've never liked him.

I'd go for something symbolic and cool looking. Not He-Man, not even Grayskull. I'd go for something like...Zoar in flight clutching the classic power sword with the background being the cross [not asterisk!] from He-Man's harness.

Or the head of Skeletor's havoc staff over crossed halves of Skeletor's 4H designed sword. Jolly Roger style

Yeah, be careful with tattoos. How but Grayskull? I mean the filmation cartoon one. That'd be quite cool.

Didn't read the whole thread...pressed for time.

But, how about good guys on one leg...bad guys on the other and when your walking around they'll clash with every swing of the leg.

For even more fun, wear cordoroy (ensure the legs rub). When someone asks...tell them you have a good vs. evil battle going on in your pants.

I like all the figs, except the ones I don't.

Oh I like these ideas. Very creative, and they hold a lot of meaning. Wanna help me with my tat money shot

I also agree that maybe a back piece would work best for the battle scene. I didnt htink about it before but you could do something really beatiful that wouldnt be cut up. And, people would know what it is right off the bat. If its on your leg you would have to turn and turn and people would say "what that." "Who are they fighthing.....Oh yeah I see it now. "

I like armband tattoos. Maybe The Sorceress in human form...better yet -- Teela looking hot in battle pose, clutching a staff or weapon. The character would be the "buckle" and the wraparound band would be formed by a pair of spread angelic wings.

TriKlops' visor would make a great armband - done up tribal style or techno-realistic, and definitely with all three eyes. Different colored eyes or all the same color would work. Then have that unmistakeable shape of his sword looking "tucked" into the armband - the grip and handguard going up or down into the band and the long blade coming out the other side.

So there in either case you've got MOTU-themed pieces of body art formed from generally accepted tattoo concepts: angel wings, sexy girls, armbands, weapons

I don't care for Tri-Klops, but your idea sounds really good. I like the idea of the sword sticking out.

I have 4 MOTU tattoos, which I've posted in the past, but I don't have the picks right now. I have one of the new Zodac, the new Orko, the face of the new Hordak, and the classic Power Sword and Havac Staff crossed together. 2 tats on each arm.

Well if you could managed to get them on here again i would appreciate it, i'm just looking for ideas not to actually copy anyone elses, i was thinking something along the lines of the art card that came in season one vol one with skeletor, evil lyn and panthor all grouped together.

Just be really careful with the odd angle - it may not take too well to flesh. But Cool ideas, especially the simple he-man and the teddy bear he-man.

I too have been thinking about a Skeletor tat. I mentioned this in passing at our local tat shop, and i had a freaky offer to turn my back into a canvas with Skeletor in front of Grayskull arms outstreched (which i have to admit sounds really awesome, but expensive...and obsessive.)
I later realized the artist had one of the stickers from the 200X line on his toolbox.
