Evil Horde - Evil Robot prototype

    Evil Robot

Just when you thought Skeletor and his henchmen couldn't get anymore horrible, this evil robot stalks on the scene. Weilding his laser-burst gun, he acts as mecha-muscle to back up Skeletor on his wicked crusades! Crank his right arm - he shoots water from the gun in his left hand. His body holds enough water for extended attacks. Bendable legs for action poses! Watch out! The latest revolting recruit to the Evil Warriors is on the loose!

I've never heard of that one, so I would share it with you. It looks like the nemesis of Snout Spout!

I found this info on http://www.eternian.com/ web site

    Hey!!!

    What the hell is this?!
I want it! It looks like he has Horde symbols on his legs... tell us what the type says, and where you found this, please!

You can find all the information on it, including what the print says here.

Is there a link to the whole thread? I can't believe I somehow missed this... what else is there aside from He-Ro, Eldor, Gigantisaur, and Gyrattacker that was featured in catalogues but never released?

People who say certain characters should never be remade is stupid. Throw rocks at them.

I support Filmation characters for MOTUC! Let Mattel know it's worth their while to get the rights to those characters!

    It's this one.

It doesn't talk about the robot until the end part of page two I believe.

Very cool oudoul! I had never seen that!
Would you mind if we put this in the prototype gallery of He-Man.org?

That's a great idea, but someone should really check with Org member "Goku" first. I believe "The Eternian" site belongs to him...

It says "Advertised on TV," (which obviously didn't happen). But did he ever make a cameo on the cartoon?

Well, I think someone earlier in this thread remarked that it looks similar to the cartoon's version of the Monstroids, so you can speculate on that....
Personally, I'm beginning to see a slight, vague similarity between him and Mosquitor. Just look at the weird blocky boots, and try to imagine a stinger at the end of his face...

Whilst I gotta admit I would have bought this should it have ever been released, I've gotta agree with Eamon, this thing is hideous!
    Tweet Me!

I've just changed my profile picture because we got Geldor in MOTUC!

I like to see what could have been, but I'm glad this one never was. It looks like the illegitimate child of a Transformer and a Starrior. Not that that's a bad thing, but I don't think it belongs in the MOTU world.
This is how the world ends.

I like how the "head" sort of resembles Clawful mixed with the cartoon Tung Lashor.

This thing is so wierd it's depressing. I have no idea what I would use to customize it, and I'm pretty sure I have no interest in customizing it anyway.

It has the Horde symbol all over it, but the caption says it was one of Skeletor's lackeys. Think Mattel hadn't made up their mind yet?

it's reject from the Go-Bot toyline or a knock off you could find
at the swampmeets back in the day. Either way it's fugly and funny at the same time

Here it is another prototype (rough version!) of ENTWINER:

    http://www.planeteternia.de/cgi-bin/...382;sbiID=7977

The picture came from the 1988er MATTEL France catalog!

Okay, I remember seeing that before... this is frankly the most bizarre catalogue item ever! I mean, it's wood and plastic and does not even remotely resemble ANYTHING MOTU... LOL! I guess this was just to show what the gimmick would basically be... because this can not be the finished product! I wonder what the finalized product would have looked like. It seems like a playset type of thing, along the lines of Slime Pit.
