I was at that Thanksgiving parade. Man, I think I was like 10 or 11 but that blew my mind back then. That was the best memory I had out of that parade.

Just found actual videos of the Power Tour!

    EDIT: Oops.

Well, anyway, I like how they blended in the Filmation voices and some of the music cues. It was a nice touch to hear the actual music!

The guy who played He-Man said he also played Conan at Universal....the irony never stops!

Jack and Leslie Wadsworth are pretty much the nicest people ever and their daughter Olivia is an absolute sweetheart.

They were kind enough to present me with a Power Tour press kit at Power-Con last weekend and I thought I'd share some of the highlights for those who might like to see them. Included here are: Synopsis of the Power Tour plot, character descriptions, ad, technical specs, and some photos.

Thanks for all that, Penny Dreadful! I think you've solved something that's puzzled me for over 25 years. I have distinct memories of a slide of Central Tower showing up on the viewscreens when I attended the Tour, but nothing seemed to match it. If they were going to do a bit about the then-forthcoming Powers of Grayskull (Snakemen vs. Wizards) part of the story, but cut it or at least didn't do it in Minneapolis, that makes a lot more sense. Or else my memory's failing me--but crossing my memories with the few snippets that you can find on Youtube, the acted portion seemed to start with the Birth of the Twins and the rather startling entrance of Hordak. And given how I've devoured every scrap of PoG lore I can find, I doubt I'd forget something like that.

EDIT: But apparently I did. I just watched TheShadow's video on Page 4 (Power Tour #8), and it's there. Watching it now, I think I can see elements of the PoG storyline--the Wizards' staffs look like He-Ro's, and I'd bet money that Hordak is the original Unnamed One.

I was very excited and touched when Jack Wadsworth gave me his Power Tour button. I don't have many collectibles any more, so I pick the ones I want to own with care. And I've wanted the button for years.

Jack said this has been pinned on his jacket for over 20 years. He took it off and passed it along to me. That meant so much. Now I'm pinning it to my own jacket.

Very cool stuff Penny D. I love how Grizzlor is Hordak's "Harry Henchman" instead of "Hairy Henchman".

That button story's awesome! I've always wanted the poster of the same image and the pennant with She-Ra, He-Man, Orko and Skeletor. SO amazing looking!

Thanks for sharing those pictures, Penny! I'm happy to see a full, unobstructed picture of Songster. Now if he never gets made in MOTUC, it will be easier to make a custom of him. Not ME, mind you...as I can't sculpt.

Seeing those pictures also reminded me...I purchased the Power Tour program from a charity auction, scanned it twice and edited the pictures together (it's too large for a regular scanner) and I *thought* I posted the full program online, but I don't see any posts from me about it here. Is there anyway to do a search of the publishing gallery, besides manually clicking and looking? I know I at least sent every image to Jukka. If it's not posted here, I would like to post it to share with everyone. I tried to find that book for years and always wanted to see the pictures that haven't been shared online, so I'm sure there must be some people out there that would like to see what's left.

Also, is it just me, or do they Wadsworths look even better now than they did in the 80's?! Glad to hear they're wonderful people, too. Mattel picked a great couple to be He-Man and She-Ra.
