Been a rough week trying to get back into the normal work schedule after the 2 week overnight. Although I DID finally manage to go see "Batman Begins" last night. FREAKIN' AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome pics of the Wave 2 & 3 Stactions! Too bad we're still waiting for Wave 1!

Even better news on the 4H DC line AND the return of the 4H Batman line to retail in 2006! Hopefully, they gave Mattel an earful about how to pack the line this time around. But the best part? Now I don't have to buy a second case from Jimmy to get my 2nd Bane & Scarecrow! J/K

And did anybody see pics of the new ML figs? I didn't see too many new ones, but they did have Iron Fist, and what looks like (In Wave 12 possibly?) another giant build-a-figure a la Galactus/Sentinel, but this one will be APOCALYPSE!!!!!!!!!!! Finally, after that crappy one in Wave 7, we get a good one, in a decent scale!

EDIT: Apparently, nobody else noticed this. MOTU Season 1 Volume 1 box art!!!!!!!!!!

    http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=3689

Collect all 4 volumes to make a full spine art image? SWEET! Character profiles? AWESOME!!!!!!! October 18th can't come soon enough!

    Hello All!

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Work has really taken a lot out of me with this weather. Plus I've had some neck and back problems that I won't bore you all with the details.

SOK - I still have your variant Bullseye. I'm guessing the next meeting is WW? We can hook up there. The only day I'll be there in the morning is on Sunday. I have the three day pass and will be hitting the show after work on the Friday and Saturday.

Guys, I need some help. For those of you that don't know, my wife and I don't have a wedding album. The worthless photographer who took the pics lost our pics from the reception and only had the ones from the church. We have the proofs and negatives, but no photos. It was a long drawn out battle for our money back that ended with me threatening them that if I didn't get my money back, I'd drive a truck through their store.

Anyhow, our 5 year anniversary is coming up in Sept and I want to surprise Tara with a nice 8 X 11 pic of us from our wedding. Like I said, I have the proofs and negatives. Can anyone recommend a good company that can set me up with a nice shot? Any help would be great and it would really make my wife happy and would be a great surprise for her.
    Thanks
    Marc

Marc, I've never had any dealings with picture places. But I think a place like Wolf or Ritz camera can do it.

In lack-of-staction news - they aren't at Suncoast around here yet. That is all.

No prob Sok! However, I don't have the DVD set anymore.

In totally freakin' cool news - look what I got yesterday!!!!!!!!!!

He's AWESOME!!!!!!! The only thing I don't like is his staff. When you put it together in his hand, it doesn't fit straight. It looks like he's gripping it so tight that he's bending it. So I just switched which hands the sword and staff go in.

    hey brad ---

it's that time again... new star wars. please mention if you see any signs of the new figures showing up.

also, are you getting the superhero showdown figures?

you as in "you," not you as in "the store." i know they're TRU only.

I'll keep an eye out for new SW stuff, though I don't think we're gonna be getting any shipments in before the end of the month. Toys is completely resetting starting the week of 7/31. They *might* start early, but they have to wait for the layouts to arrive, plus we have inventory next Monday, 7/25. I printed up the labels for the new aisles, and of course, we are losing the 3rd figure aisle for RC cars through X-Mas. I'll bring the labels home tonight and give a full report, though the only new stuff I remember offhand that we're getting is the 500th Vader, the Evolution sets, the FF Fantasticar, the Sigma 6 stuff, & TF Cybertron. Everything else pretty much stays. ML, Spidey, The Batman, Batman Begins, FF, TMNT, Power Rangers, WWE, etc...

And I am NOT going to get into the Superhero Showdown figs. With the 4H Batman coming back to retail next year along with their DC line, I have to start back on those. Fortunately, Episode 3, Unleashed & C3 will not be around next year to balance it out. Are you getting the WWE Classic Wrestlemania ring? I saw them at TRU today, but they're $50. (Totally worth it though - it's too freakin' cool to pass up!) I'm definitely picking 1 up after WW.....

okay, cool. i'd appreciate knowing if anything new and interesting showed up.

for anyone who notices the superhero showdown figures, i would VERY much be interested in a berzerker wolverine, if you happen to come across one. (the single-packed, no costume, wifebeater logan version.) it's the set's chase figure, so i'm not holding my breath.

also, brad, i did pick up the ring. with my classic superstars collection, i couldn't pass it up as the ideal way to display them. and that, sadly, is about all it's good for. it LOOKS phenomenal, but will obviously fly apart and/or break if it's even breathed on.

the too-tight ropes pull at the metal posts, which are moored in place by plastic (!) joints. so whereas the whole post used to bend with the old plastic rings, now the (metal) post stays straight, but gradually destroys the joint holding it in.

    SO close to perfect...

oh, and brad (and whomever else)...

i know you were playing catch-up with marvel legends.

it seems that wal-marts are getting in a special "best of" case, with a few of the harder-to-find figures, and even some variants. brown wolverine, both phoenix, both vision, hawkeye, juggernaut, deadpool, both ghost riders, and one or two others are in the assortment.

let me know what you're still looking for, and i'll keep an eye out.

and if you or anyone stumbles onto a dark phoenix, phasing vision or especially-- phasing ghost rider -- that you don't need, i'm definitely in the market.

Yeah, Compuman saw the refreshes yesterday, and I was pratically tripping over them at the Wally World I was at today. I wasn't sure if they were re-issuing the variants, but the only ones from that group I still need are the Dark Phoenix & the Phasing Ghost Rider. (Got my phasing Vision from Yahoo auctions a few months back for $20 shipped) They had plenty of each of the following:

Brown Wolverine, Juggernaut, Deadpool, regular Phoenix, Hawkeye, regular Vision, regular Ghost Rider

I picked up the regular Ghost Rider that I still needed, but like I said, I still need the phasing one along w/Dark Phoenix. I'm pretty sure we ALL need Dark Phoenix, and most of us need the Phasing Ghost Rider. I'm not sure who all needs what, but I *think* Compuman needs Phasing Vision & Dark Phoenix (not sure about GR).

ML collectors, spout off what you still need so we can (hopefully) get everybody hooked up!

And finally on a MOTU note, I scored a set of the Stactions from a Suncoast today, so they are out there. If you guys didn't already order any from Jimmy, get out there! They are TOTALLY worth it! These guys are so much more detailed and larger than the regular figures that $20 doesn't hurt at all when you see how sweet they are. I wasn't sure how many Jimmy ordered, so I grabbed 1 set just in case he doesn't have enough to go around. (I'm doing doubles on these) If he's got plenty, I can always return the Suncoast set......

okay, then, brad -- i officially throw in for:
    (in order of importance)
    -- phasing ghost rider
    -- dark phoenix
    -- phasing vision

and i'm not all that geeked about the phoenix & vision, so if i stumble across them, i'd likely put them up for offer here rather than keep them.

i will make a note to pick up any of these that i see for people on the board.

since these are hitting so hard right now, let's definitely get a list going! i'd like to help out anyone that i can.

I'm in for the Marvel Showdown figures. I'm just not sure where I'm going to get them from. Toynk doesn't have them up for preorder.

On the ML front, I need Dark Phoenix and Phasing GR as well, but what I'm guessing is that if Wally World is getting cases, the scalpers are going to scoop them up and the price is going to go down on E-Bay.

I'm also hearing that the Juggernaunt is a repaint to reflect what he's sporting in the comics these days, is I'm in for that.

I believe my stactions arrived today. They shipped from AFX and got shipped to my wife's work so I'll have a nice surprise when she gets home.

Also on the MOTU front, I'm really, really, really hoping that with the classic DVD hitting and getting so much hype, along with the stactions, we get either and or the following:

The return of the figures. I can dream can't I?
The new series on DVD along and new episodes. Again, I can dream, can't I?
    Thanks
    Marc

    ChgoMarc --

i don't think toynk is going to carry the superhero showdown. i think they're a TRU exclusive as far as brick & mortars go. not sure about online, but i don't think toynk's getting them. i will find out.

i have seen them at most toys r us stores in the area. only the first series, and the two different 2-packs are out now.

the wal-mart scalper situation is exactly why i posted this here. i knew what i'd be looking for, but i'd hate to leave a deadpool or phoenix behind if someone here needed it.

as far as the juggernaut... it is an official repaint, and is supposedly going to be in these new best-of cases, but from what i've heard, is NOT shipping yet. the one in the cases showing up now is the regular one from last fall.

    Dear Wal-Mart,

Please send one case of ML Dark Phoenix and Phasing Ghost Rider to the Chicago Horde. (Please ignore the fact that one member works for Target)
    Thanks
