Whee. I'm so freakin' tired. I hope there are no good Smurf items today.....
Good God it's early! Who thought this toy show was a good idea? Stupid Darrell!

BTW 2 - I finally picked up the first two boxed sets of Thundercats the other day. They had a great price at Best Buy for like $27.99 each. HO!
Changed my mind and hit two other Wal-Marts today with Sable. No luck.

hey, gang.
looks like target stores are supposed to do a toy aisle re-set sometime this week. the newer star wars stuff, superman returns, and pirates of the caribbean will be on it.
if any of you notice the re-set done at the stores you hit, please post it here. i'm inexplicably anxious for those pirates toys!
thanks!
So...how was the show?
Thanks
Marc
yeah what did you guys score?
i was able to locate 2 spider hulks last night at a target, and the target that had all the green goblins were cleaned out.
=)
Can I get a "Hell Yeah" for Scorpia!!!

Did u all miss me?
Thank you Mario, but our Princess is in another castle.
Toy Show was OK. Nothing to write home about though. Darrell made his usual round of Smurf scores. Basically all the newest non-ML stuff was there. Lots of new Spidey & X-Men figs, but almost nothing regarding new MOTU.
Darrell managed to snag me a Spidey & Friends Green Goblin at a Target after the show, so I'm good on him. I think Jimmy grabbed one as well.....
As gamera8 posted recently, the action figure aisles at Target are due for a yearly "Summer Movie" revision soon. The actual date is 4/30, so some stores will get to it this week, some next week, and the crappy stores will get to it late the week after that. Only things I know for sure are changing is that the Superman movie figures will be the lead-in. (Meaning they will be the first figures in that aisle) Star Wars will move down further into the aisle, and they'll start stocking the next set of VOTC figures. I believe that the new Pirates figures will be carried by Target as well.....

any inside info on stores that are more likely to reset sooner rather than later?
i'm killing for those pirates!
No concrete info on any particular stores. Only thing I can say is if a particular store you frequent seems relatively on the ball with having their aisles being set correctly all over the store, they'll most likely do the revision sooner rather than later.Originally Posted by gamera8
There's so many factors that go into when things get done, such as:
Is the layout available?
Do we have the product on-hand to stock?
Is any product street-dated? (Ala Episode 3)
Has the clearance sold down enough?
Is the person responsible for this (revision specialist) dependable to get it done on time, if not early?
yeah, i figured it was probably pretty hit-or-miss.
thanks!
ML wave update. Still no luck. We'll be back tomorrow for another shot.
Just found this on ebay. They are getting close to IL

EDIT: I hope nobody was looking for any of the titanium SW saga figures, because I saw both an Anakin & an Obi-Wan at a store this morning. No extra $$$ to grab them, and as I was just stepping out of the aisle, a SW collector hit the aisle and uttered the phrase "Holy Crap!" and immediately grabbed them off the pegs.
Nothing else of note as I was out and about this morning.....

Again, no WM ML found. But they are close. I've read about reports in MI and WI. Any day now....
Thanks
Marc
No new ML at the Wal-Mart I hit today, but I did manage to snag a Juggernaut figure from a TRU......
There has been a report of the ML two packs hitting IL. IL/WI border. I hit two today with no luck and might hit one more depending on what time the old woman gets home.
I've been to Wal-Mart more in the last week than I have in the last five years. God, I really hate that store. Why couldn't this have been a Target, TRU or even K-Mart exclusive?
Thanks
Marc
Good luck everybody on finding those ML figs

Ok, so this is my first time posting anything in this thread.
I am from Aurora, IL.
I don't know if any of you have seen this thread yet from the She-ra section:
http://www.he-man.org/forums/boards/...3&page=1&pp=25
but it says that this particular chain of movie theaters called "National Amusements' Theaters", which shows older kids movies on weekends, will be showing He-man & Shera: The Secret of the Sword in May.
I went to their website which is www.nationalamusements.com and looked for locations in Illinois. There is one in Peoria, which is roughly a 3 hour drive from where I am located. I assume that most of you are either in Chicago or the surrounding suburbs, so the distance would probably be about the same for everyone else.
Assuming that this particular Peoria theater gets SOTS (which is yet to be confirmed if it will, as the ad in that thread is for the chain as a whole and doesn't specify locations), I intend to make the trip to see the movie in the theaters. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in seeing if we could arrange a big group of He-man & She-ra fans to all go to a showing of this. It could be a lot of fun, and this is something that isn't likely to happen again any time soon.
So, if anyone's interested, please reply and maybe something can be figured out.

That sounds like a great idea!!! Unfortunately, I can't. As most of you know, Diabetes has effected my eyes a little and it hurts alot to watch movies/tv in a dark room. Nothing seriouse ofr permanent, the doctor says that it should go away after a while.
-I didn't see the Wal Mart Marvel Legends this morning at Miejer.
