I've seen a few dealers posting in the boards, and their NECA reps are still saying June 1st. (today) If that's the case, I'd think they should show up next week, or the week after......

Well I went back to the wal-mart for a shower rod, and ended up getting.... Chase Weapon X! My giant man is complete.
This was the same wal-mart that didn't have him like 3 days ago, but I found him stashed under some superman stuff. I saw his arm and I'm like, ahh it's probably just the regular weapon x, so I left, but then I couldn't find some garden **** my dad asked for so I went back to toys while on my cell explaining that I couldn't find it, and since I was getting antsy on the phone I looked at the weapon x and it was the burned face mofo. I'm so happy.

Brad - Very surprisngly the cube was picked clean. Warbird, Kitty, Havok, Captain Britain and Thor were all gone. So that left Weapon X and Sentry on your list. I don't know what the color difference for sentry is, so I left that alone. There were a ton of Weapon X (normal) so I almost got it for you but I figured it's such an easy to come by figure that I'd leave it. It'd take me 2 weeks or more to get it to you, and I figure by then you'll have seen it like 5 times, and I didn't want to make you wait.

Jimmy - There was a malpractice suit and the Thunder was gone like all the food at a ponderosa after I stopped by. You'll just have to settle for the Pepper, but I think he put on wait so he's not diet anymore Your curves will go to waste! Get next door fast.

No one wanted the 2 packs so I left them. All the chases were there, but the normal red skull and king pin packs were gone. The regular hulk was there though.

Man that young avengers set, and the monsters set, look like crap. I'll wait till they hit clearance.

    Peace

there's an online store that has an exclusive 80s polka dot version of dusty rhodes.

not only does he have those weird dark circles around his eyes, but underneath his shirt, he even has dusty's bizarre birthmark blotches!

let me know if this rings your bell, and i'll dig up the info.

My one Wal-Mart that I'm still hitting on the way has still hasn't received the cube. I'm sure it's somewhere in the backroom and no one has a clue as to what it is. I'm still searching for:

    2 Weapon X
    2 Weapon X variant
    2 Sentry dark yellow variant
    2 Sentry bright yellow
    2 Sentry bright yellow variant
    2 Warbird
    2 Havok
    2 Kitty Pryde

However, I did pick up a Marvel Select Spider-Woman variant yesterday. But no big deal since from what I understand they are 50/50 ratio.
    Thanks
    Marc

Actually they were 1 per case of 6 Marc. I don't mean to correct you, I just wanted you to know.

1 per 6? Wow. Guess it's a good thing I picked her up. Haven't all the other Selects been 50/50? Dark Phoenix and Emma Frost? And is the Black Variant only for SDCC?
    Thanks

Nope, I know Venom was even steven, but the others were 1 to 6. I'm pretty sure.

Are folks meeting anywhere to carpool out to the hospital? I tried to give Darrell a call but just got voicemail, and I haven't gotten a call back.

Sorry for the short notice everyone, but the meeting for tomorrow is being moved to next Sunday, 6/11/06. Turns out next weekend is going to be alot better for most schedule-wise. Hope there's minimal inconvenience for everybody, and keep in mind next weekend is also the big sale at Graham Crackers, so most of us will plan on stopping in anyway.....

Sorry I couldnt make it last night, but there is so much going on at the homefront right now. Hopefully Mike is doing well, but if you guys make another trip up there, please let me know.

Unfortunately I wont be able to make the meeting next Sunday, because I will be working all weekend at Best Buy (Im working Saturday, because a lot of the high school kids who just graduated are going to parties, and I work Sunday, because Im taking Monday off to go pick up my dad at the airport because he's coming in for a visit.

    Hey all,

I plan to come to the next meeting and meet everyone (as long as that is ok with everybody). It will be cool to meet more MOTU fans in person.

For some reason I thought the meeting was today (I just hopped online to look up directions), but I must have gotten my days mixed up. Now that I see the next meeting is Sunday, the 11th, I'll mark it down and try to make it.

Just out of curiosity, what goes on at the meetings? Is there anything special that I need to do and/or anything I should bring along? I have a few custom things I could bring along to share. They are nothing really special, but its something.

    ***

On an interesting side note in regards to the previous Best Buy discussion, I was there last night, and the MOTU S2V1 was no longer on the shelf. I guess its possible that they sold out of them, but I kind of doubt that since they had 8 more copies after the one I bought the other day (plus I was there again the day after I bought it and the rest was still there). I guess that they must have realized that it wasn't supposed to be out yet and pulled it from the shelves. At any rate, it will be slightly cheaper for this next week's sale, so anyone who hasn't gotten it will likely be better of waiting anyway.

Looks like I will be able to make it after all. I wound up getting Sunday the 11th off, because I am going to go to Midway Airport with my sister so she can pick up a friend and I'll stop by when I get back.

Dynamo, I think I can say, on behalf of the Horde, you are more than welcome to stop by. Usually if there is any MOTU related news, we discuss that and occasionally we watch MOTU cartoons. Id love to see your custom figs. After the meeting we usually go out to eat somewhere near the store. Look forward to seeing you

Hey, Dennis, I bought the He-Man set at Best Buy last week for $26.99, now I see it's on sale this week for $24.99. If I go back, would they allow me to exchange/get the difference? I haven't opened it yet.

So you guys saw Mike, right? How's he doing?

I'm glad the meeting got pushed back a week. I just got home from work and am pretty wiped out. We've had some management changes at work and the day off schedule isn't getting done a month in advance like it used too. I just found out Thursday that I had to work today.

I did have to cover 3 or 4 Wal-Marts today. No an exclusived ML in sight. One WM didn't have any Legends at all. I'm really starting to become surprised that these aren't warming the pegs yet. Probably another month and they will be overflowing around these parts.

Jimmy, I've got two questions for you. 1 - I know I briefly mentioned it to you before and at the time I still wasn't sure if I was 100% sure if I wanted them or not, but any chance any of the stores have the 3 Smallville figures? 2 - Any chance you can save the boxes from Diamond this week that the comics come in and I'll pick them up at the meeting Sunday. We are still packing up the house so we can get it on the market and those make great moving boxes.
    Thanks
    Marc

Take your receipt and a copy of the ad in, and they should give you the difference back.

Mike seemed to be holding up as well as can be expceted after a 9 hour surgery. He was in good spirits, but obviously a bit tired. Unless things change, he should be in the hospital until Friday. Sweet news is the TVs in his room have DVD players, so he'll be able to watch the new MOTU set we grabbed for him!

No toy hunting after the hospital visit, as we were pretty hungry, and it was already around 8pm when we left.

Amazon charged my card today for the ML 13 Green Goblin variant, so it should ship today or tomorrow. Hopefully they won't screw up the order and send a wrong figure. 1 wave down, and I can continue searching for the rest of the Wal-Mart figs I need.....

And if anybody has trouble with getting price adjustments from Best Buy for their MOTU DVDs, you can print out a copy of their policy from the website. It states you have 30 days from the day of purchase to bring in a receipt and a copy of the advertised price for a refund of the difference.

Oh, and if any of you haven't picked up ANY of the MOTU season sets yet, (Gabe, I'm looking at you!) there's word on the boards that Sam's Club is selling a 2-pack with both Season 1 sets for $40!!!!! I haven't been there myself to see, but I may grab them just because they're so cheap and it may be a present down the road.....
