I'll stop by Wednesday night, too. I'd be up for IHOP if there's a group that wants to go.

Jimmy - I got your voicemail this moring when I got out of the shower. No luck at 75th St. I'm trying to get my mom (who lives 5 minutes from the Butterfield store and who is also off work until the 2nd) to run over there and grab me a copy today before they realize their mistake. If not, I'll stop in there on the way to the store tomorrow, and see if there are still any on the shelf.....

    Thanks for the heads-up!

I'll pass on the TrapJaw. I'm sure he's cool, but the large statues are just out of my price range. Plus, I'm really not sure where I would put them if I started collecting them.

I may get the new large He-Man statue when it comes out. But, I doubt I will get more beyond that.

I'm going to pass on tonight's meeting. I don't want to be out late with having to be at work tomorrow morning and all.

But, I'll be stopping by the store probably sometime Friday afternoon (we get out of work early that day, so I'm going to cash my check and come get the Zodak bust), and I'll definately come to the Jan 5th meeting.

Brandon-I am NOT picking on you but:
WHY IS IT SO HARD TO GET PEOPLE TO COME TO HORDE MEETINGS? WHAT THE ****??? I guess it's just Brad and me. The first 2 person fan club!

Well, technically we were close to that 2 person fan club that one Sunday a while back when only I, Brad, and eventually Sebby showed up. Well, I guess little Brandon was there as well, but mainly because he was working. And it ended up being only me and Sebby for dinner, as Brad ended up having some cash problems (which I fully understand and do not blame him for).

I like the Friday set up. That works really well for me.

Even Sundays wasn't too bad (though Fridays are preferable) since the meetings generally started earlier in the day. But, to start it later on, like after 7, and then not be able to go out to eat until after the store closes at 9, and then being out for a while, it would just result in me getting home rather late on a night like tonight, where I have to go to work the next day. If I don't get enough sleep, I'm like a zombie. Plus, until I get paid Friday, I'm a little tight for cash right now and really wouldn't want to go out to eat. And, my wife and I have things to do yet to get ready for Christmas this weekend. So, there's just a lot going on that combines into this for me.

Fridays work out well for me because I don't have to work the next day, and ususally my wife goes over to her grandmother's for dinner when she gets off of work, so it is perfect.

In my defense, the only reason that I didn't make it to the last meeting was because it was the day of that snow storm, and they closed my office. I hadn't gone anywhere all day, and my car was BURRIED in snow, and I just had no desire to clean it off (which, would have taken forever anyway, as it did the following day when I finally got around to it) and drive around in that crap (even if most of the roads were relatively plowed by that point... they still were far from perfect).

Actually, aside from that last meeting (and the one tonight, which is quasi-unofficial anyway), I haven't otherwise missed a meeting since I joined, and I don't intend to make a habbit out of it. I enjoy the meetings, and I particularly had a blast at that last one I was at when we all went to IHOP.

I just think with tonight being in the middle of the week, and being so closed to Christmas really doesn't help matters all that much.

I coudn't have said it better myself, that is why I'm using Big Brandon's excuse as an explanation for why i won't be making tonights 'quasi-innoficial' meeting.
Jimmy- I may still make it up to the store tonight though, and thank you anyhow for the drive home offer.

Had some luck today! I picked up 2 of the Star Wars comic 2-packs. All I need now is the Tarkin/Stormtrooper one. I also NEED the JLU Amazo/Lightray/NEMESIS three-pack if anyone sees it. I got Darrell the Huntress one. Also TMNT movie figs-so does Leo.
-My case of Hanna Barbara series 2 got messed up, so if anyone sees a Jonny Quest or Captain Caveman let me know!!
I love it when a plan comes together.

Merry Christmas eve everyone!! No need to be sorry, E! It just so happens that Friday night I ran into a little Elf who had Rocky AND Casino Royale bootlegs in his car, so I'm all good!

    Hiya!

Merry Christmas to everyone in here! I'm 33 and live in El Paso now, but 'til I was 18 I lived in Lisle and in Wheaton, about 2 miles from Jimmy's store.
It's always weird to come back here to visit and see how different things are.
I miss buying figures from Toys By Rizzi, Child World, McDade's Catalog House, Zayre's, Venture, Montgomery Wards.

    Good times.

Hope everybody has a safe & Merry Christmas!

For those of you who don't make it to the store this Thursday for new comics, I hope to see you there next Friday the 5th for our next meeting!

Jimmy - Sorry I didn't get to the store w/your JLU 3-pack, but I'll bring it on Thursday!
