We just got Whiplash a few weeks ago, right? Why does it seem so long ago. I'm impatient for my next MOTU fix, even if it is the Lion King and the ugly yellow ape.

yeah really - it seems so long ago, but its only been a few weeks. maybe b/c whiplash wasn't as hyped up as most others!

i'm not too excited w/ the next figure coming but i am glad that we got another 200x character, especially now that they say we won't be getting anymore 200x related stuff.

I think i'm gonna have to add another shelf for my motuc collection w/ the addition of gygor and the rest of the figs for the year w/ the line up of stuf coming out its gonna get kinda crammed on there pretty soon and the figs are really gonna be fighting for space!

    =)

I thought we were still going to get 200x figures, just not 200x heads with the classic figure. I was looking forward to the Faceless One in '11 and was hoping for Teacher-At-Arms at some point
    Thanks
    Marc

I think they said they'd do 200x figures, but in the classic style.

So it's September now - did we decide on a final day / time / location (Marc's?) for a meeting?

Yeah, I don't think it's the end of the 200X figures. Mattel just felt that there was a little too much detail going on with Marzo. So, if he were was yet to be made, under the "new rules", he probably just wouldn't have as much of a wind blown hair look, and his face would have less wrinkles. But, he would still be made and would still strongly resemble his appearance on the MYP show. So, it's this, plus figures like Whiplash won't come with a second hand that looks identical to their head from the 200X figure.

I don't know if a final decision was ever made. I know that Jimmy initially suggested the 10th, but then Marc mentioned his place would be an option on the 24th/25th.

I'm fine with either date, though I would love to go to Marc's again because that was an exceptionally good time a few months ago.

I'd even be up for meeting on both dates if people are cool with getting together more than once within a month (and that way anyone who has a conflict on either date might at least be able to make it to one of the two meetings).

But, no matter which date it is, I agree with Jimmy's recent sentiments that it would be nice to start having the plan put together further ahead of the actual meeting day/time.

So, should we put it to a vote?

I've got 2 updates for you guys.

1 - I do have Wednesday the 15th off so I can place orders. Big B, thanks but you can take me off the list and we'll have more slots for others.

2 - Tara is going to the doctor tomorrow and is probably going to have to schedule a small surgery the week of our vacation. After tomorrow we will know the date and recovery time which might affect the meeting. I don't think it will but I'll have an answer for you guys for sure tomorrow.
    Thanks
    Marc

I hope all goes well with Tara, Marc. Don't worry about having the meeting at your place if it's going to be a problem.

    Well Gents,

The show will go on. Tara does have to have a small surgery but it will not affect the meeting. So the weekend of 24th is a go. Either Friday night or Saturday night works for me.

Thanks for all the get well wishes for Tara. She says that if she does come downstairs during the party to give you guys a heads up that she going to be in her pajamas.
    Thanks
    Marc

Look what I found. I saw this t-shirt in Nordstrom tonight, of all places. I didn't buy it because...well, I think it's stupid.

    Wow. That is pretty terrible.

I saw that the Unlimited Pasta Bowl is back at Olive Garden. Anyone interested in an unofficial meeting before Marc's?

Grant-It's too bad that your not a smoker. If you were, you could've taken out your lighter and set fire to all those shirts.
Seb-I'm down for unlimited pasta. How about Wednesday night?

    Happy Birthday Grant.

Could any of you guys that still make regular runs to Wal-Mart please keep your eye open for me for a 6" Wal-Mart exclusive Iron Man 2 figure? He has the armor on with Tony Stark's head wearing sunglasses.
    Thanks
    Marc

Grrrrrrrrrr. Angry. I meant SUNday. Is Sunday doable for unlimited Pasta for anyone? I have to work Wednesday night.
And Den, I am MORE than excited about the Golden Corral opening............but devastated that the Ponderosa has closed. I think we need a moment of silence:
