Was that the last Ponderosa left in Illinois? If it is, it is now on the list of restaurant chains still around but no longer in this state(Sizzler, Ground Round, and, from the looks of it based on all of their closings, Long John Silvers). I bet if that place was closer to Westmont, you could have kept them in business.

Yup. The next closest one is in Gary, IN. 1 hour and 7 minutes away.

Ponderosa is gone? Suck. There goes another great piece of my childhood. We used to go to the one on 127th & Ridgeland all the time. I guess Gary isn't too bad of a drive. Hell, we used to drive further toy hunting.

Crappy seafood(but it tastes good) that clogs your arteries just by looking at it isn't worth venturing into the city for me. I'm a nervous little suburban boy who isn't used to the scary types who prowl the city.

Wait, did the Pondorosa near Fox Valley mall that we had a meeting at a while ago close down? They looked like they were still open when I drove past it a couple of week ago. Though, I'm only basing that on the sign, etc, still being there. I really didn't pay attention to see how many cars were in the lot or if the lights were on.

I'm honestly not surprised that Ponderosa closed. I have to admit - I always thought it was a pretty mediocre place. When I was a kid we went to the Ponderosa in Streator, but it seems like the chain changed a lot over the years.

I'm not sure about Sunday. I might be able, but I may have a conflict that day - will hopefully know in a day or two.

Well, the house is finally getting into shape. A few small things need to get fixed here and there, but the place is shaping up nice!

We went out and found some living room furniture we both liked and bought it. The only downside is that it was out of stock and won't be back in the warehouse till the end of the month! So watching my new tv sucks because hard wood floors do not agree with my ass or back!

HUGE thanks to Jimmy for helping me with the boxes! We needed every single one!

I think I actually might be good to go for the next meeting.

Honestly with the turn-around time for Matty getting these orders shipped out, I probably won't have the Gygors until shortly before the meeting at Marc's at the soonest (I HOPE they don't arrive after the meeting), so it just makes the most sense to get them to everybody at that meeting. They go on sale on the 15th, and Marc's meeting is on the 24th, so I hope I have them in time.

Marc is off that day and placing his own order, and I am just getting 1 for myself instead of 2. I've basically decided that I'm not going to maintain a MOC/MIB collection of every figure, etc, in MOTUC. I know I've been back and forth on this, but in the long run I won't have the space for them all, and with them adding all of these extra items (with talks of vehicles coming), it's just costing way too much to keep up with it all.

I will be keeping a hanful of "favorites" MOC, but I'll be selling off most of them.

I'm going to try to compile a list of the ones that I am selling intially hopefully by sometime this weekend, and I'll post it here first, giving you guys first crack at them before I post them in the marketplace.

Off-hand I do have an extra SDCC Orko/Adam set that I was keeping MOC (I already have another that I opened) that I traded a regular Orko/Adam set that I ordered from Matty Collector to obtain, so if anyone wants that, I'm just asking for $28 for it (the price I paid for the Matty Orko/Adam set that I traded for it).

For pretty much all other regular figures that I post, I will be asking $25 for them unless noted otherwise.

The ones that I am definately keeping MOC (meaning I am not selling them) is He-Man and Skeletor -both first releases and reissues, Hordak - both first release and reissue (though I may have an extra first release that I may sell as I bought a couple of extras with the intent to customize them), Adora, She-Ra, Man-At-Arms, and my King Grayskull that is still in attached to the inside of the electronic box. (other's that I'm kicking around keeping are Wun-Dar, Mossman, Goddess, Teela, Stratos, and Keldor.. I'm also keeping my extra MOC Matty Orko/Adam set because I plan to customize that Orko into a Montork). I may keep just 1 He-Ro MOC (I was keeping all 3 stone colors MOC even though you can't really see them, and I still have one or two extra from when I placed the bulk order, so I only plan to keep 1 if I keep any of them MOC). I will double check the rest of my figures to be sure that there is nothing else that I want to keep, but most likely I'll be selling off all of the rest of my regular figures.

So, I will post a specific list of what I am selling later, but if anyone knows of any figures that aren't on my above 'keep list' that you specifically want, go ahead and post it or send me a PM. More than likely it's something that I'm willing to sell off and I can bring anything that anyone wants to the meeting at Marc's place.

I have 2 subscriptions for the rest of this year, and I only plan to keep 1 of each of the 'monthly' figures for the rest of this year (Carnivus, Roboto, Grizzlor, and Buzz-Off). So if anyone without a sub wants to call 'dibs' on any of those figures (because I'm sure many of you are just clammoring for an extra Carnivus! ), just let me know (the price for those will be $20 + half of the total tax & shipping for the shipment of my 2 sub figures, which will probably work out to around $25 or $26).

There's a new Spider-Man game out? I did manage to pick up The Red Hood DVD earlier today, so let's see if this is the one DC Animated Movie that does not put me to sleep during the first viewing.

I just picked up Web of Shadows for the Wii about a month ago at Target in the checkout lanes for $14.99. I just don't play enough video games any more to justify paying full price. Plus I had heard that game really sucked for the Wii and the reviews said wait for it to go on clearance. I having a blast with it.

Did any of you guys pick up the new Spider-Man video game this week?

I've been going back and forth with both that & Batman: The Brave & the Bold. (Both for Wii) Only did the Kraven & Hammerhead levels so far, but it's pretty sweet, especially considering the amount of crappy Spidey games the last few years. And the fact that Spidey 2099 is in there is just awesome. (Plus, he's voiced by the guy who voiced Spidey on Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends! And the voice of Spidey Noir is the voice of the 90's Spidey!) Will definitely grab this for PS3 when it price drops.....

Brave & the Bold is a decent little side scrolling/platforming/beat-em-up, but not worth $40. Good for the kids or fans of the show. ALL the voice talent from the show is there. Only thing that really sucks is that Aquaman & Plastic Man are not playable. (They're only support help-Playable characters are Batman, Robin, Blue Beetle, Hawkman & Guy Gardner) I love the fact that the game is set up exactly like the show. Episode starts with a short teaser level against a villain, and following that goes into the show's opening credits, complete with episode title and then a whole new villain/plot to play through. And there's TONS of dialog during the game. Some are semi-static cutscenes, but a lot of it is voiceover conversation while you're playing the level.
