No problem! I would be going through this anyway even if I was just ordering for myself.

The thing that is worrying me though is that both this sale and Orko's sale took me A LOT longer to get through than it has in the past. I don't know if it's got anything to do with my new computer (I don't see why it would since it's a newer, faster computer). Unfortunately I no longer have the old computer to compare it with.

But I think it has more to do with changes to the ordering system. People have had problems where things keep refreshing even after they get past the WSOD (throwing them back into the WSOD), so I think that's clogging up the servers.

My concern is that when we get to an item that will sell out faster than Gygor did, that I (and anyone else that I am helping out) will miss out on it.

I'm thinking that the army builder pack in December is going to be an extreme nightmare since people are more likely to buy multiples of it. I'm actually hoping to get 4 of them, myself. But I'll be lucky to get an order through at all, I think.

yeah i think i'l be doing my own ordering for that set and any extra kg's in December. the browser i use here at work hasn't failed me yet, so i'm hoping the new update to IE7 will work just as well.?!?!?

I think the big reason for the craptacular web service yesterday was the fact that Matty/Digital River finally did something to halt orders going through the backdoor website, so now EVERYBODY who was ordering was going through the Matty servers, making even more traffic than we're used to.

Good news!

I got the shipping confirmation for the Gygors today, and they are due to arrive this coming Wednesday, so for those of you that I ordered them for, I will have them in time for the meeting at Marc's on Friday.

The break down comes out to $35 each.

Hey little B, how's school going so far?

Things are going pretty well so far. I like most of my classes (the ones having to do with screenwriting) and the school is very nice. My dorm is fine and my roommates are all really nice (yes, even the gay ones). I've made quite a few new friends and done a fair share of partying. Even managed to live through a tornado...!

I've encountered a bit of homesickness and I am still adjusting from culture shock. This city has a lot of weirdos in it, but on the whole I have had a really good time. Already met some famous people (David Koepp, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Brett Ratner) and am working with some really talented writers. Although it's not home, I don't have much to complain about. As soon as I totally settle in, I think things are going to go very well for me here!

On a separate FYI note, my wife and I were around the Fox Valley Mall area this past weekend, and the Ponderosa that is right near it (where we all had a meeting some time back) appeared to still be open as far as we could tell. There seemed to be lights on, cars in the parking lot, etc.

Just letting everyone know who were disapointed by these restaurants disappearing.

Hey guys-

Marc, thanks for the invite. I'm not sure if I'm going to make it tonight. I know I haven't been active in meetings for the whole summer and I swear I'm not withdrawing or anything. Real life has just kind of been tough lately.

My grandma passed away this week and my mom and I are dealing with everything right now. This is the same grandma who was staying at my house last month during our LAST meeting due to her air conditioning being out, and also the same grandma who I lived with as a kid and who bought me almost all my original MOTU toys.

So sorry I've been absent a lot. I hope once things start getting back to normal that I'll be back with the group a lot more.

Grant, I am really sorry about your grandmother. I know it is rough. Mine past away about 6 years ago, and it was a very difficult time (I had lived in the same house as her during my childhood, too), so I understand what you are going through. Just focus on your family right now. That is the most important thing.
