It's closed? God this economy sucks. I never thought I'd live through something so close to the Great Depression.

Yeah, we ended up going to the RR over on Winfield Rd. instead. Apparently the other RR just closed a week ago.

Jimmy - in case you weren't aware, the McRib is back. Just had one at the new McDonalds next to the Costco on Boughton in Bolingbrook.

    Thanks Sebby!

Is it weird that I automatically think of Jimmy when I see the McRib or some new product from Hostess?

I'm not surprised they're closing. We ate at the one in Schaumburg last month and the service was AWFUL. Made me not want to go back again.

I remember one time we went there to that Red Robin; I can't seem to recall who that fool was that walked out with one their glasses

Thanks for the update, Seb!!! Actually AshPaul "warned" me they were coming back this week. I promise not to end up in the hospital! But, I'm totally getting one for lunch tomorrow.

Rohrich-I actually wish there was more new Hostess stuff out. It's been a while.

Nice seeing everyone on Sunday night.

Don't know if anyone saw this. Both kinda funny and disturbing at the same time.

I saw some new Hostess cupcakes with Soundwave in the title(I guess it was a tie-in with the TF3 DVD release). They had purple icing. They probably tasted the same as the normal ones, but I never found out. Buying products featuring Bayformers only lets the terrorists win.

We saw Large Marge & Elvis at toy show. I bought an ice cream cone and that's it. I was gonna buy a couple of Gobots magazine, but the guy wanted $15 each for them. "Hi Guy" wanted $80 for an Automan (from the TV show Automan)figure. Here you go, Darrell!

I don't know if I would have paid $15, but I want to eventually get the rest of the Gobots magazines(I only have the first issue).

Btw, they had Automan toys? I remember the show, but figured it came & went so quickly(like Manimal & The Master), that it didn't have any merchandise at all. Except for my missing Monroe for my Too Close For Comfort playset, Automan is now the toy I want the most.

Be prepared to pay for it. I thought $80 was ridiculous, but apparently, it's not.

I should have figured you were joking, but considering some of the things that did get made into toys back in the 80s, it wasn't an entirely absurd concept.

I even tried searching google for them after reading your post, but kept getting results about some episode of the show where Monroe gets raped or something.

Oh, and I agree... a Cosmic Cow puppet would be awesome to have!

I remember watching that show with my parents as a kid, but I didn't remember a rape episode. I just looked it up. While it's not a disturbing as I imagined(it was 2 women instead of a guy like I thought), it's still pretty warped for a sitcom. Man I miss the "special episodes" that the sitcoms of the 80's always got to eventually. None beat Arnold & Dudley's visit to the bike shop.

And now, a very special episode of Too Close for Comfort...

Didn't this same thing happen to Mattingly once or twice?

That show was based on a British sitcom too just like Three's Company, All In The Family, and Sanford & Son? Did we have any original shows in the 80's?
